Dynasty was my hands down favorite. However, after the first few seasons, the writing degenerated into some far-fetched storylines. The silliest being the "Twin Krystles" plot line which purported to put forth the theory that a husband couldn't tell his own wife from a look-alike imposter. The only upside to this ridiculous plot was a well-choreographed cat-fight between the look-alikes. ( I agree with you, Old Grouch, the cat-fights in general were the best. ) The powers that be have made collecting this series on DVD a challenge at best. It took me 6 years to collect five seasons of this. I can't explain why I needed to get as much of this series as I could (see my post "Completist?" on the TV on DVD blog), but it became a challenge to get my "fix" of Dynasty. Dallas fans were much better served by the many reasonably-priced, full-season sets from Warners.

Dallas all the way for me. Never could get into Dynast. Too glitzy.

Dallas! Dynasty was only good for the first and second season.
