I've really enjoyed the episode introductions on these DVDs. It's an extra special treat when they're done by one of the guest stars in the episode. Thinking ahead to Season Six, wouldn't it be great if they could get O.J. Simpson to introduce the episode he guest-starred in? They'd have to tape it from prison, of course, but I seem to recall a jail scene in that episode, so an introduction from prison would be fitting.

Actually, no. And if you'll excuse me, that post was just a bit of my dry, warped sense of humor. I just had this image of O.J. Simpson doing an introduction through a prison visitor window, wearing his orange prison clothes with his inmate number. This is a rather cute episode that is, unfortunately, marred by O.J. Simpson's presence. My recollection, though, is that he isn't in most of the scenes, and he's in none of the better scenes. So rather than getting rid of the episode altogether, wouldn't it be nice if they could create a viewing option where you wouldn't have to see or hear O.J. Simpson, or even hear his name? I'm thinking of something kind of like the movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, where you have real life actors and scenery, overlaid with a cartoon character. They could create some cartoon football star with a different name, and every time O.J. Simpson appears, cover him up with this cartoon character and have some other actor dub over his lines in the voice of the cartoon character. And each time Lucy or anyone else mentions the name O.J. Simpson, have actors dub over that with the name of the cartoon character. It would be an entirely new "Lucy" experience, and we wouldn't have to see, hear or even think about O.J. Simpson at all. And we wouldn't lose that episode.
