I wish there were more shows like 'Maude' on TV today. I find that the days of having shows centered around older people are long gone. With 'Maude', I felt that it portrayed older woman as real women. Now, the oldest leading women are no older than mid-forties. After that, older woman are portrayed as senile or a wise old grandma. Anyone else agree?

Well there is Betty White on TV now. There was Golden Girls too. The 60's had a number of characters in their 60's too. The Paul Henning sitcoms and GI had great characters who were retirement age! In the 90's was Marie from everybody loves Raymond.
