How many of you remember this short lived sitcom?

It had a black family named The Cumberbatches living in the former Bunker house during the 1990s.A grown up Joey Stivic even made a guest appearance.

The livingroom was reconizable. But the kitchen was quite different. The back door was now located on the left hand side wall instead of in between the kitchen door and refrigerator.

Whatever happened to Archie himself remained a mystery. We know that Edith passed away in 1980,the Stivics moved to California in 1978,and then divorced in 1982.But nobody seemed to know what Archie's fate was.

Needless to say this show didn't even last a full season.

Yes, I saw the first episode, and that was all anybody was expected to watch.

What happened to Stephenie?

Yea I watched it. I think this was Norman Lear's final tv show. It wasn't as good as AITF but I liked it. It had a lot of possibilities. It's too bad that it didn't last that long.

I agree that the show had a lot of potential. The All-in-the-Family style of comedy, though, was probably out of style and also out of place on the network (FOX).

With the right creative talent behind it, this could have really been special!

I remember my sister watched it once and when I asked her if it's any good she said "It's just a black version of ALL IN THE FAMILY, that's all."
