Who would have been a good replacement for Annie Potts (Mary Jo) since she had plans to leave the show? Of course we would still have Dixie Carter (Julia), Jan Hooks (Carlene), and Judith Ivey (BJ).

Glad it didn't continue- those final couple of seasons were not that memorable. With three of the original four gone, it would have been a disaster (even with Dixie Carter still in the mix).

I'm glad it didn't continue as well. I didn't care for the final seasons after Charlene and Susan were gone. If they had continued without Mary Jo as well then I don't think it would have been that good at all, even with Julie still in it.
