I live in Indiana, so here are some notable Unsolved Mysteries cases that took place here:

Mahfuz Huq - killed his ex-girlfriend Christy Mutsfield's boyfriend Todd Kelley in a jealous rage in Hamilton back in 1989. He was arrested in India over 21 years later.

I-70 killer - he began his string of killings in Indianapolis in April 1992, shooting Robin Fuldauer in the shoe store she worked at. The killer also shot and killed Michael McCown, a ceramic store clerk, in Terre Haute.

Cindy Wismiller - vanished on her morning shift as a courier in Kokomo in November 2000. She turned herself in 6 years later after realizing police were after her for stealing large amounts of money from the ATMs.

Niqui McCown - a bride-to-be who disappeared from Richmond in July of 2001 weeks before her wedding.

Jill Behrman - disappeared from Bloomington while on a morning bike ride in May of 2000. Her remains were found 3 years later and then her killer another 3 years later.

Brooke Baker - a college journalist from Vincennes who was stabbed to death in her house. Her killer was caught 2 years later after being linked to another murder in the area.

Robert Davidson - a man who was struck by lightning while on his motorcycle near Acton. A mysterious lady in black came to his rescue and recited lines from the Bible to revive him.

Jay Given - an attorney from East Chicago who was shot dead while attending a fundraiser.

Logan Carroll - a baby boy who died after his mother Tami gave birth to him. He miraculously came back to life nearly an hour later.

Randy Yager - a biker who allegedly kidnapped or ran off with a Gary native named Margie Jelovcic.

Rufino Casteneda - a Hispanic man who raped a young lady from Mishawaka after leaving a bar. He was arrested 7 years later.

I couldn't think to list them all, but there are two that come to mind that may still be unsolved.

memorial day rape-terrible case on the brazos river in glen rose texas. two victims(mother and son who witnessed)

missing girl from copperas cove or kileen texas. I believe she was half korean or japanese and half white. she had a arguement with her boyfriend and disappeared. this reminded me of the angela hammond case a little but was different. there were a lot of sightings of her after the disappearance as if she was kidnapped by someone. strange case.

if anyone knows about these two cases please let me know.

Off the top of my head: the Showalter-Reynolds case and Jasper Watkins. The Jasper Watkins case actually took place about 20 minutes from where I live.

I thought the last post was 2010 so I might have been wrong. It is hard to start a brand new thread on this forum so it doesn't bother me when there are duplicate ones. I try to search threads and bring them back as much as possible.

The Keith Warren case happened in my home state of Maryland in the Montgomery County town, Silver Spring.

I think I already laid all these out, but it's been awhile. Let's see if I can remember them all!

Dexter Stefonak-- car found on fire at a rest stop.
Father John Kerrigan-- priest who went missing after taking a call from a distressed person.
Nyleen Kay Marshall-- disappeared/abducted from a campground
Bo Tanner-- husband who went missing under strange circumstances
Patricia Meehan-- wandered off in the prairie after a car accident
Dannion Brinkley-- psychic who correctly "saw" the perp in a horrific double murder that happened in my state
Lisa Kimmel-- murdered while on her way to another state
Morris Davis-- pizza man murdered while delivering a pizza to a fake address

I could be mistaken, but I also think that there were alleged sightings of Don Kemp at a homeless shelter in my state as well.

...and based on that, I think it's obvious that I hail from the Big Sky Country... :)

I'm a lifelong Ontarian and our most famous UM case from our province is probably the Blind River Rest Stop murders. I also currently live pretty close to West Carleton, the site of the Guardian UFO case, and have probably driven through the area before.

I would also see my province featured on quite a few UM updates since American fugitives were often captured here.

Ha! I'd rather pull over and pee on the road than take my chances at that rest stop. :)

Where I was actually born and raised:

-The ATV murders (Chattanooga)
-the Baskin children (Murfreesboro)
-Ellen McClung Berry (White Pine/Knoxville)
-Blair Adams (Knoxville)
-John Cheek (Memphis)
-Kevin Hughes (Nashville)
-Reggie White and the Inner City Church arson (Knoxville)
-Joe Shepherd (Tellico Plains)
-Marlena Childress (Union City)
-the Live from the Telecenter special's "Case #1" was about an inmate that had escaped from jail in Morristown, but I'm pretty sketchy on the details
*Tom Johnson's victims, Jeremy Rolfs and Heather Uffelman, were both students at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro at the time of Johnson's crimes, although the attack/murder was committed in Marietta, GA

Where I'm currently living:

-the crew of the Sara Jo (although that happened on Maui, not Oahu)
-Todd Mueller (my gym is only two blocks down from the bank he tried to con in Honolulu. I pass it nearly every day.)
*A viewer in Honolulu was also the first to report Dave Davis--Shannon Mohr's killer--after the second time the segment ran. She called into HPD, but the officer who took the call had no idea what she was talking about and apparently didn't follow up on it. So Davis went free for some time afterward until he was captured in American Samoa (which isn't too terribly far away from here by plane). Guess that kind of makes you question whether or not calling "your local law enforcement agency" was always such a good idea.

Nancy Manni, Susan Harrison, and to a lesser degree the Cathy Ford/Paul Ferrell case all happened in my state. I'm nowhere close to where Gorman, MD however and did not even know it existed until the UM segment.

A few years ago I stopped at the Bad Route rest area. But I don't think I went inside.

Keith Warren, too. I think that happened in Silver Spring. Tracy Kirkpatrick was a Maryland case as well--that "There's a lot of guys named Don in Frederick" line from the confession hotline caller has always stuck with me.

There's a local theory that the "Don" caller was actually the security guard who discovered Tracy's body.

Grew up in FL and lived there till I was 21. The Tommy Zeiglar murders happened in my hometown. Then there was Pamela June Ray.....of course, by then I had moved away. However, that case still, strikes a chord with me because we were vacationing in Panama City when she was taken.

Then there was the Audrey Hilley case in AL , my home state now. I remember when she ran off and was found dead of exposure in someone's yard. That was in the paper daily.

I know there are more cases, but those are the ones I remember right away as UM cases.

Just the 1 for me I'm afraid (or should that be relieved?) and that's the 1978 disappearance of Frederick Valentich in his plane.

West Virginia:

- Danny Casolaro is found dead in his Martinsburg hotel.

- The infamous steam-trunk murder, Jasper Watkins, was discovered in Harper's Ferry National Park.

- David Freeman housed Tim Good as a prisoner in his own home, later killing him. Forgot what area this happened in.

- Paul Ferrell, a police officer, possibly murders his secret lover Cathy Ford. Forgot where this happened as well, somewhere in the panhandle.

The store Ferrell's family owned was in Gormania. Ferrell himself had a trailer in Mount Storm at the time as well.

Wasn't that guy who left his wife & 5 kids because he had been living under an assumed name from Ontario? He admitted he left because he didn't want the past catching up to him. Sorry to be so vague on this...

I live in Alberta, the only case I can find are Corrine "Punky" Gustavson.

David Fisher was caught in Edmonton as well.

Edited: b/c I thought there was a bank robber case in Edmonton but I was wrong.

Yeah, that was a guy named Alex Cooper who actually lived with his family in British Columbia, but I believe he was hiding out in Ontario when he was found.

The most prominent UM case from Alberta is probably the rape and murder of a six-year old girl named Corinne "Punky" Gustavson. And I believe Alberta actually got its own UM segment about crop circles found in someone's field.

I can think of three which happened in my state off the bat. While I wasn't living in it when it occurred back in 1984, the Gary Grant Jr. case was one that happened here. That of course being Atlantic City, NJ, which is very close to me, and sometimes go to. I often think about that segment whenever I'm in that area too, and I'll admit was kind of eerie whenever I pass the high school there, with that being where they found his body and all. The city of Nutley, NJ is also a place where I will often visit a relative of mine, which is where the Susan Walsh disappearance occurred. The DeDe Rosenthal segment also happened in Lakehurst, NJ (which is right next to Toms River, and very close to where I live) as well.

Dave Bocks happened about 25 miles from me. I've driven out to the site, but as you can see on Google maps there is nothing left. I wouldn't want to live around it, despite the clean up.

The attack that happened on Jane Boroski with the CT River Valley killer happened only 15 minutes from my home town of Keene, NH. My grandmother actually shops regularly at that Garmarlos.
