I am giving this post the title that I am giving it because I have already posted a thread titled "The Age that I Was" a while back. In any event, about three house ago, I posted my eleventh comment in between the last time that someone other than me has posted and the present moment. Although this thread has no replies, it has eighteen views so far. I would like to commemorate this event by mentioning that I was eighteen years old when "Gimme a Break!" finally died! It was the spring of 1987 and I had turned eighteen March 6th of that year. As I am sure that most of you know, by the start of the last season, the show was already a joke in its own time! Its rediculousness riveled that of "Punky Brewster" and made "What's Happening!!" look like a work of art! But I guess that the writers and producers simply did not want to give up. Their sense of optimism was reminicent of Ralph Kramdon every time he came up with a new get rich quick scheme! In any event, by this stage in the game, the show had already been shuffeled around various slots on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday Nights. As one last stab, they put it on Tuesday Night. If my facts are correct, it was opposite "Who's the Boss". How unrealistically optomistic can you get? Oh baby!
