TLC Cancels "All-American Muslim"

"All-American Muslim" has run its course.

The TLC series has been canceled after one season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.


The docuseries about five Lebanese American Muslim families in Michigan opened well in its November bow, drawing 1.7 million viewers but shed viewers despite public protests, attracting 900,000 viewers to its Dec. 18 finale.

Hmmmm... I have a feeling that a similar show in the 1970s about a Jewish family would have met a similar fate... not all Moslems are radicals who want to destroy US culture, I imagine most want to integrate into US culture.

I'm certainly no fan of reality TV, but this seems to me like one of the better shows of that genre (leagues ahead of Idol, Big Brother, Jersey Shore, Wife Swap and so on).
