Would it be worth it? Would you purchase the DVD? Is it better to just let it be occasionally in syndication?

No for the same reason why Fish was only released with the Barney Miller set. They know that the show is outdated and would not gain any profit as a single released.

Is it really dated Sol? The show itself isn't all that bad, not great, but okay.

The show has a 20 year absence from syndication so I would say yes-lol

Ok it was in syndication in 2010 but on a cable channel not a lot of people have. Do you have ALN?

Yes

Well not many have it and on top of that the show was yanked off the network that same year.

Phyllis was released on VHS in 1992 by the way

I'd buy it,Cloris is still a big name,ok it only lasted 2 seasons but Mother

Dexter made it very funny.

season 2 was inferior to season1 except for the classic 2 parter "Mother

Dexter's Wedding".

i think the only way it will get released will be as a manufacture-on-demand DVD, or more likely get released on Netflix or other streaming download

I would buy it if it were a reasonable price -ALN skipped 2 episodes (which were actually some of the best ones) and cut a few other eps; I think a MOD dvd should be cheaper than a regular box set.

They couldn't show "Sonny Boy" for some rights issue.

They also missed out "Widows Merry and Otherwise" they first time but showed it on the second run on ALN.

Maybe they could package it along with the 13-episode run of "The Betty White Show" under the title ' MTM Thought These Would Work'

Yes, Phyllis needs to be released! FOX will never do it, but I keep hoping Shout! Factory will get the rights to it, since they released Rhoda. But yes!!!!! I want ol' Phyl on DVD!!!

I love when they put out rarely seen short-lived series (1 or 2 seasons) from the '60's, 70's and '80's on DVD.
