"Southland": Ben McKenzie Previews The Final 3 Episodes Of Season 4 (VIDEO)
3/1/12
"Southland" star Ben McKenzie stopped by "Live! with Kelly" to preview the final three episodes of the gritty cop show's fourth season.
"In the final three episodes I get personally involved with this mother and daughter, the mother is a prostitute and the daughter is heading towards that life. I'm trying to save the daughter from that life, so it gets very hairy and very intense."
McKenzie also talked about his character Ben Sherman's growth as a police officer.
"I was a rookie for three seasons so I clearly wasn't a good cop. but this season I get to decide what kind of cop I want to be. I can chose someone like my partner, Shawn Hatosy's character, who's a really terrific cop, or I can choose some of the other characters on the show, who are, quite frankly, burnouts ...
It's just trying to figure out where that line is, and every cop has to figure that out for themselves. You have to figure out who you want to be."
