Did the son or daughter characters ever appear on the seasons 4 and 5,when Doris Martin was a swinging single?Because the only time I remember the characters being on the show,were in season 2's so-so episode "Col.Fairburn Takes Over"(the daughter character appeared in this one),and season 3's pretty good "Col. Fairburn,Jr.",when Doris Martin was a widow with her two sons.
