Of course, we should all know by now about the troubled behind-the-scenes history of ALF. Production was very grueling because of the technicalities involving a sitcom involving a puppet as the star. I wonder if things would've been easier had it been filmed w/ one camera (a la the early episodes of Happy Days) instead of taped in a multi-camera format. I don't really know all of the differences between the two, but I would like to assume that the single-camera format is less cramping (and allows more time to breath) than the standard multi-camera format.

I would think it would be better with multi cameras. One camera can pick up different angles without having to repeat the same things with the one camera.

I tend to agree with having multi cameras. I noticed things on the show that wouldn't have been caught with just the one camera. It might be more expensive but it looks a lot better.

It would be a live-action American Dad. :)

In 2014 and if I was Paul Fusco and all of the networks were excited about it I would specifically shop (and hope to sell it) as a single camera sitcom on ABC.
