Yay, just what daytime TV needs, another talk show to delve into baby daddy dramas and paternity pickles! Deadline is reporting, NBC Universal has given the greenlight for Trisha, a spinoff of trash-tastic talker Maury.
According to the site, the chatfest has been cleared in over 80 percent of U.S. markets and has snagged 27 of the top 30 markets. The show will be hosted by Brit Trisha Goddard, a frequent Maury "expert" and will debut in October. So far, Trisha hasn't been given a national rollout date, due to the program failing to snag any stations in Big 3 markets, Chicago, Los Angeles or New York.
