A lot of people remember her cameo appearance on this series and paid tribute to her by posting a comment. However, like anything else, the novelty has worn off. However, even before that event, I posted a thread called the "Dry Cleaner". The fact that I gave it that name is because, in the third season episode "Samantha's Protest", it looked like Katie and Julie were carrying packages from the dry cleaner as they were walking through the front door. It was during this scene that Julie coined her classic phrase, "he was not whisteling at you he was calling his dog"! I loved it! In any event, posting this thread was simply one of my many attempts to stimulate some conversation about this fine series. In any event, this thread now has forty-nine veiws and zero replies. I would now like to commemorate this event by mentioning that, at one point, I watched a "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon and, in the credits, it said that it was made in 1949! "Woody Woodpecker" has been around twenty years longer than I have! How about that!

After sixteen attempts, I was finally able to think of a topic to write about that actually stimulated some conversation! Take a look at the number of replies to my thread titled "The Termination of the Girls"! This just goes to show that anything is possible! In any event, bringing this thread to the top of the page is a form an an experiment. I figure that, a good number of the people who frequent this page probably grew up with syndicated episodes of the "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon. This being the case, I am thinking that, they might be intrigued by the title and decide to come in. They might want to make sense as to what about "Woody Woodpecker" I am relating to "Gimme a Break!". Only time will tell what the outcome will be!

When I would run out of things to write regarding the show, I would write about site traffic. I would see how many views one of my previous threads had and commemorate it by writing about something that has to do with that number. Yes, the episode focused on her in this episode. She wanted to impress those popular girls, so Nell let her go out to try to meet Andy Gibb. The chief was furious when he found out that Julie spent the night at Gibb's hotel room, so he was going to arrest him.....Even after Julie explained everything, Simpson still kept his gun drawn on Gibb and his band mates. Simpson was such a horrible police officer. How in the world did he ever get and keep his job. The man had rocks in his head. :lol:

Actually Woody is a little older yet. The first appearance of Woody Woodpecker was in an Andy Panda cartoon from Walter Lantz studios released in 1940. By 1941, Woody was appearing in his own animated cartoons.
