If she had never gotten pregnant I'm pretty sure she would have never gone to Africa. I think when she ran off got married and then pregnant, that was the straw that broke the Camels back.

That's not why the ratings went down. When Lisa returned part time in 1988 after ADW, the show was still number one. When she returned full time the following season, the show was still number one. When the next season started, the show tried to embrace the urban vibe (which was not needed IMO) coincidentally, the show fell to number five for the season. The overcrowded house was not a real reason. The Pam storylines weren't needed and a little bland. They took a chance but it just wasn't needed.

Well, the show was still in fifth place overall but I see what you mean. "A Different World" ranked 4th place over Cosby. The Simpsons was on at the same time that TCS was so I can see what you're saying.

Regarding Lisa; I remember that there were reports saying that it was a mutual decision for her to move on. I remember on True Hollywood Story something about Lisa not showing up on time or just going back to being irresponsible when it came to work. I can't remember for sure so don't quote me on that yet. :confused:
