Would you be willing to stomp barefoot on grapes, and perhaps get into a grape-wrestling match, like Lucy did?
I think it would be fun!

Sounds like a blast. dougiezerts 02-21-2012, 08:49 PM No, I wouldn't want purple feet. Lucy's feet are only purple in the colorized version of that scene!:happyface duckie 02-21-2012, 11:18 PM Yes, and I would also love to have a pie fight. dougiezerts 02-22-2012, 08:58 PM Yes, and I would also love to have a pie fight. That brings up an interesting point. How come there was never a pie fight, on I Love Lucy? I think it would have been quite natural for her to do that! Coffeecup 02-23-2012, 12:33 PM Doing these stunts seem harmless enough. Climbing the Empire State Building NO. First I'd be scared and I am sure be arrested. I wouldn't take that chance. old grouch 02-23-2012, 03:03 PM Yes, and I would also love to have a pie fight. I've always wanted to be in a pie fight. old grouch 02-23-2012, 03:05 PM That brings up an interesting point. How come there was never a pie fight, on I Love Lucy? I think it would have been quite natural for her to do that! Even the Brady Bunch had a pie fight. Maybe the producers of Lucy thought a pie fight was overdone and wanted to do things that were a little more original, like grape stomping and chocolate wrapping. tdr 02-23-2012, 07:50 PM Somebody's bound to post this rather quickly, so it might as well be myself... ILL did have a pie fight in "The Diner"-- I think that's the episode title-- where they buy a diner and Fred and Ethel walk out because Ricky and Lucy are leaving the real work to them (F & E), then they split the business in half and neither side is getting business. But a drunk man comes in right after some cream pies are delivered, and since none of the 4, angry as they are, want to throw the first one, the drunk man throws one into Ethel's face, who then throws one into Lucy's face and a few more are thrown... then the previous owner comes in and gets a laugh and says he 'misses the old place.' So they sell it back to him for a substantial losss, which the owner says is his way of really making money (selling it and buying it back from people so sure they want to own their own business), and at the end the drunk hits him (the owner) with a pie. dougiezerts 02-23-2012, 07:51 PM Didn't remember that, thanks! |
