Lindsay Lohan To Host "SNL"
The Huffington Post - Laura Hibbard
02/19/2012

Oh boy. This is going to be interesting:

Lindsay Lohan is set to host "SNL" on Saturday, March 3, the New York Daily News reports.

This will be the first time Lohan will be on the show since 2006 -- with the stars' many troubles since then no doubt making up some -- if not the majority -- of the night's joke fodder.

Lohan and NBC tweeted confirmation of the gig.

"SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lohan tweeted after the NBC show revealed in an on-air promo and Twitter posting that she would host its March 3 episode.

"That's right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then! #SNL #March3rd," the show tweeted.

She's always done a wonderful job, and I'm sure she will once again. Would love for them to have Rachel Dratch back alongside her for another Debbie Downer sketch. Their one together is the most memorable of the bunch!

Lindsay Lohan's "SNL" Return Scores Second Highest Ratings of the Season
Mar 5, 2012
by Robyn Ross

Lindsay Lohan's return to the "SNL" stage proved to be a ratings success.

The broadcast scored a 5.5 overnight rating and dominated the late-night time period. The episode, which also featured guest appearances by Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm, was also the second highest rated "SNL" of the season, falling behind the delayed telecast on January 7, which followed the Lions-Saints NFL wild card playoff game.

Lohan's sketches included a "Real Housewives" spoof featuring Disney princesses. The actress also poked fun at her troubled past.

i honestly didn't think it was very good - Lindsay seemed a little out-of-it, puffy, and couldn't say a single line without looking at the cue cards every 2 words, making it very distracting. I don't think most of the skits were very good at all either.

i like Lindsay, but I felt kind of let down after watching it.

This was one of the weaker eps of the season, and I don't put the blame completely on Lindsay. It was just an awkward episode writing wise...especially when compared to how wonderful this season has been otherwise.
