Was Ted Baxter's mother ever shown? If so, who played her?

No don't think she appeared,Ted's estranged waster,Dad appeared to borrow

money,once.

That was a bit of a continuity error,because when Ted made a speech that bombed

for Phyllis's ladies group,he stated his Mum and Dad were the first to leave.

Nope, just like with Maris Crane (on Frasier), we never saw Ted's mother. She was mentioned every once in a while, though. I remember Ted calling her just before he and Georgette were going to get married at Mary's. I'm trying to think if they were supposed to be close or not. But, given that she didn't even show up for the wedding, I'm guessing the answer is no! ;)

It was nice that we got to see Jack Cassidy as Ted's brother -- very nice casting!

Nope, she was never shown. I think Ted was closer to his mother than his father. He was so excited when she was going to get married, but crushed when she didn't. I think since his father left when he was little, he was closer to her.

Yes Ted Cassidy was great as Ted's brother,I'm sure Ted was up for the part

of Ted Baxter but turned it down,I think.


Ted's estranged Father turned up but was clearly just interested in Ted's

money,the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!:lol:
