does anybody know iff its true that abc showed Happy days on thursday night in its final season?

Happy days aired Thursday nights at 8:00pm from Jun-July 1984.

Whoa. Be careful. Strangely, Happy Days most often aired at 8:30pm in that final eleventh season on, yep, Thursday nights. ABC, not being kind to its veteran benchmark 70s series, did not even bother to show reruns during the summer of `84, despite the fact the show ended its final episode in the Top Ten of May 84.

whoa!!! just a little follow up. some books will show you Happy Days aired in the summer of 84 on ABC, but sadly it did not. That WAS ABC's original plan, which is quoted. What actually happened was Happy Days left the air in May of 1984 after the great farewell episode. ABC HAD planned to play HD reruns for the summer, but did not. They became much more interested in pushing their new series "Condo" with MacLean Stevenson. No summer reruns for HD in the summer of 84 on ABC. It's too bad. Because, well, who remembers Condo?

One thing I think is kind of weird is one time I went to Nick at Night's web site. I looked through their HD episode guide. I saw 4 or 5 episodes listed that supposedly aired after the finale.

Were there episodes that aired after the finale?

I find that really hard to believe that they aired eps after the finale, now if it was on NIck sure I'd beleive it there always messin around w/everything!

HAPPY DAYS took a hiatus during the winter of '84, and there were apparently some PRE-JOANIE AND CHACHI WEDDING EPISODES saved up, to air for 4 weeks during the summer of '84. NICK didn't normally show the RICHIE-LESS EPISODES beyond 1980, so, NICK never showed those left-over episodes from '84

Yes, I remember this as well. Because of the winter hiatus, they had enough episodes to air through July. But ABC wanted to air the finale during May sweeps, so they skipped some episodes. The unaired episodes were "burned off" in June and July. I remember one of these "lost" shows dealt with Fonzie dealing with some woman who was a ghost, or something silly like that.
