I am going to be 50 this year, and my best friend is going to be 60 this year. But in reality she is going to be 20. She was born leap year and has a birthday once ever 3 years. She actually celebrates on Febuary 28th, but whent here is a leap year, she celebrates on the 29th, and this year she will be blowing out 20 candles and not 60.

I guess she can't toast with a drink at her birthday yet, lol. j/k. I don't think I would like having a birthday on Feb. 29th since leap year is only every four years. Of course you can celebrate on March 1st.

Mother, child celebrate birthdays on Leap Day
Mom turns 8, daughter 1

A mother in New Jersey is preparing for a special birthday party on Leap Day: It's the day she turns 8 and her daughter turns 1 -- well, not really. Michelle Birnbaum, of Saddle River, will actually be turning 32, and her daughter Rose, 4, but since they were both born on Feb. 29, they can only celebrate on their special days every four years. The odds of a mother and child sharing Leap Day birthdays are 1 in 2.1 million, the New York Post reported. "It was just luck, all the stars lined up at the right time," Birnbaum told the newspaper. Birnbaum said she just hopes her daughter will enjoy her unusual birthdays as much as she has. "I always felt it was something very fortunate," she told the publication.

You would celebrate your birthday on March 1, NEVER february 28, because you'd still be the same year you were until March 1.

It's interesting to think about a birthday which only happens every 4 years is very special, (better parties, big trips) !!
Anyway, I hope it was happy, fun and safe.
