I've been watching the O&H series lately from RTV's broadcasts. I have a question to experts here on the show. Who is that little kid with the huge hairy mole on his cheek? My opinion is he must be a member of the Nelson family as this show used all sorts of members of the family for even small roles from daughters in law to whatever. I doubt if a casting director would ever have cast a normal working kid actor with that huge monstrosity on his face. It's very distracting and disgusting to say the least and the funny part is NO ONE mentions it. The elephant in the room scenario.

The kid who played that part was named Harry Mole.
He was a fine character actor who also played in the 50s sci-fi movie " The mole people " Whenever the studios needed someone to play a mole role, they always got Harry Mole.

NOT REALLY.

He was a little kid with dark hair, and has appeared in at least 2 or 3 episodes I've seen so far on the RTV showings. In one recent episode he asks Ozzie to watch his pet (frog, Oz thoght he meant a kitten) while he's gone for the day. Natually Ozzie, who can never say no agrees and the "fun" begins. The kid's mole literally has hair growing out of it and it's on his cheek (on his face), it's 1/4 the size of the kid's cheek. I have to turn away when it shows the kid in close-up. Don't know who he is, in the latest episode I saw him in they didn't list him in the cast at the end of the show. May be another case of blatent nepotism that seemed to run rampant on the O&H show, I don't know how else he could have made it past the casting director.

The little boy is Tony. I can't think of his last name, it starts with an M. He is the son of the shows set designer. Tony is in quite a lot of episodes.

Having a mole on ones face certainly didn't hurt Richard Thomas' career. ;)

Likewise for Anne Francis.

I found his name: Anthony C. Montenaro. Didn't find a pic though. Anybody have a screen cap?

I just watched Ozzie and the Space Age and the mole is totally gone, he evidently had it removed when he was a bit older.

He had it removed after he got a residual check for his prior appearances on O&H. LOL.

I had a mole removed before I got married but my brother in law still came back to visit us.

I noticed that too, in the later shows, the kid's enormous mole was gone, though you could still see some remnant of a scar. Guess plastic surgery wasn't as good then, though if you've seen Suzanne Sommers recently, looks like plastic surgery has gotten a lot worse.
Well, a mole hair today is gone tomorrow.

Well, a mole here today is gone tomorrow.

I had cosmetic surgery recently and besides removing a mole, the doctor removed $4,000 from my bank account.

OMG. I know this thread is years old, but I FINALLY saw "the boy with the mole" the other day so now I know what everybody was talking about! RetroTV aired his episode yesterday. The episode was called "Art Studies" from season 4. The mole was quite large and hairy, which was too bad because he was a cute kid. Glad to hear he got it removed.

This whole thread is hilarious. I forgot about my post from 2012. Those were the good old days when I USED to get RTV tv. My area took it off and replaced it with ME TV. I am very happy to have ME TV but I sure wish I had RTV too. To show how bad that station's taste is they recently took off ME TV and replaced it with the totally unwatchable an undescribably (except for incredibly horrible) channel known as TBD(?) whatever that is and whatever it is I couldn't tell you. Luckily for little me another local station picked up ME TV about a week after the original RTVtoME TV station took it off. But I still don't have RTV. I used to watch Ozzie & Harriet from them along with Bachelor Father. The bad thing about RTV, at least back in those days, was they showed a lot of public domain Beverly HIllbillies and the station frequently messed up, they'd cut off beginnings of shows, or they'd go into a 5 min. station ID showing at what was supposed to be the beginning of a show. A lot of tech. difficulties with them back then, hopefully now they're more professional.
