Well, I was finally able to meet in person 3 of the actors from "Starsky & Hutch."
Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul and Antonio Fargas were all at the Hollywood Collectors Show in Burbank, California. Two days, Saturday and Sunday.
I went there on Saturday (2-11-12); got there about 1:45 PM. I was hoping there was not a super-long line to see them and fortunately, there wasn't. A line of about 25 people. Someone in line said it was about twice the size at 1:00 PM. So I timed it well.
As for the autograph experience, all three actors were sitting at a long table. First Antonio, then David and last was Paul. I have met Antonio before. I gave him a few copies of TV ratings I have (from early 1979) and a few other items, including the thread from this site titled "Happy Birthday, Antonio." He appreciated the material and so did his assistant. She said she will add it to his acting memorabilia.
Next up was David. After saying hello, I showed him a height listing from a website which listed him a "peak height 6'1/2" and current height as 5'11"."
He kind of laughed at it and wrote on the paper (which I kept) what he claims is his correct height... 6'1". I did ask Antonio, too, about both their heights and he said both him and David are 6'1". I did offer to give David the copy because there were comments but he said he was not interested in it. I was about to show him more things I brought, but he said there is a line of people waiting (but that didn't seem to bother "Huggy Bear"). So I moved on to Paul.
Paul was very friendly. I showed him the TV ratings (the same two I showed David) and he actually looked at it before handing it to his assistant. He accepted everything I brought for him and for that, in addition to the photo I bought for him to sign, I book his new book, "Chrystallia," which he also autographed for me. David's assistant was really interested in the TV ratings I left and he was actually reading off the shows on the list.
Before I left Paul, I told that my mom (about 20 years ago) was praising his acting. (I ran some S & H episodes I taped off the TV.) I said what she said was impressive because she started going to the movies in the 1940s and grew up watching well-known and respected actors like Cary Grant, James Stewart, Clark Gable and Humphrey Bogart. He seemed pleased to hear that and said, "Thank you."
I did take photos of all three. There was also a "Starsky & Hutch" Grand Torino parked outside the hotel and I took a few shots of that, too...
