Hardcore fans are committed to seeing The Weird One take the stage at Super Bowl XLVII next year, and they've got the online petition to prove it. “This is a serious case to be made,” writes spearheads Paul and Storm. “All the elements are there: lights, video, costume changes, general spectacle. And given a stadium-sized budget? It would be awesome in every sense of the word.”

As of this writing, the petition currently holds 1,900 signatures, and the #WeirdAlSuperBowl push is in its initial phases via Twitter, Facebook, and Change.org.

That would be awesome. I actually was thinking of Al when I saw how many costume changes Madonna made.

He'd be the best act the Superbowl has had in the past 20 years.

I'd see it rather than sending the "Browns" to The Super Bowl during Halftime.
