If you watch Match Game you would know what a bad speller Fannie Flagg was. Even the simplest words she misspelled. The other panelists(especially Brett )would tease her about it. Her spelling was so bad that I am wondering if she is dyslexic? She has authored books so she's no dummy.I'll bet the book editors had a field day with her manuscripts! But her spelling was atrocious! What do you think?

I don't know if I really noticed her spelling that much, only because they had a passel of bad spellers on that show. I loved her homemade shirts though.

I was so surprised to learn that she wrote Fried Green Tomatoes(her novel was called Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe). I always thought she was just such a goof. :)

The shirt she's wearing in that picture is a hoot. I always enjoyed the verbal catfights between Fannie and Brett.

I googled her and I was right. She is dyslexic. Here is what Wikipedia has to say.

Flagg has spoken publicly about being dyslexic. Flagg has said she was enormously challenged as a writer because she "was severely dyslexic and couldn't spell, still can't spell. So I was discouraged from writing and embarrassed".[4] Her burgeoning writing career was put on hold for much of the 1970s, but Flagg overcame her fear and completed several novels and screenplays.
