For ten years starting in 1987, Christina Applegate was beamed into households as America's favorite dim-witted beauty on Fox's "Married... With Children." After such a long run, it's no surprise that she's still associated with that show in many people's minds. On "The Late Late Show" (Weeknights, 12:37 a.m. EST on CBS) felt the need to shout out his appreciation for her character Kelly Bundy.

At the beginning on the interview, the fan yelled out, "I love you Kelly Bundy!" For his troubles, he was escorted from the room by security. "They'll rough him up outside as well," Craig Ferguson said.

Applegate thought it was sad to see him ejected like that. "You can cuss like a drunken sailor up here, but one guy's like' Whoa, I love you!' [and it's] 'Get out!" she said.

When Ferguson started to tout his own appreciation for Kelly Bundy, Applegate felt it was her responsibility to remind him that she wasn't yet of legal age through the show's run. While Applegate said she wasn't yet 18 during most of the series, she actually turned 18 in the middle of the third season. So Ferguson can feel a little less guilty for appreciating her character now.

i thought it was hilarious, and I probably would have done the same thing.

i'm not worried about being creepy about it either - I was under 18 when she was on the show (I actually remember her from her earlier show, Heart of the City and her appearances on Charles in Charge.

I get the feeling that Christina kind of has a "love-hate" relationship with being Kelly Bundy. She has said numerous times in interviews that she isn't keen on revisiting that role (in the event of a hypothetical reboot called Married...with Grandchildren) because she can't imagine herself wearing the type of outfits (which could be best described as being like a heavy metal groupie during the show's heyday) that Kelly wore at this phase in her life:

Plus, I suspect that Christina was always terrified that she would be typecast and limited by the role because she did such a convincing job playing conceited, promiscuous, blonde bimbo. So it wouldn't make that much sense to go backwards when she has tried to evolve as an actor. The fact that she was for all intents and purposes, objectified on the show (especially when the audience started getting more vocal in the later seasons) didn't help.
