At this point, it has been upwards of three years since the third season episode "Samantha's Protest" was uploaded onto You Tube. In case anyone is interested, it is still up there. In any event, it was uploaded from a guy who I met here after I begged and pleaded! This was before anything past the second season was put on DVD and I was very anxious to get reaquainted with this episode! Ever since I was fourteen years old, I got great joy from seeing the poetic justice brought to Katie at the end of the episode! In any event, I was thirty-nine years old when it got uploaded and the last time that I had seen it before that, I was seventeen. Most of the happenings in the episode were as I remembered them. However, there was one tiny-little detail that went right over my head up until the time that I saw it on You Tube! You see, I had very vivid memories of Katie and Julie walking through the fron door and Julie delivering the line "I cannot believe the height of your egotism! He was not whisteling at you, he was calling his dog!" I also remember that, while rolling her eyes, Katie was telling Julie to get in touch and to understand that the boy that they passed always whisteles at her. Wishing thinking on her part! I also remember that, while Katie was saying all of this, she was taking her purse off of her shoulder and placing it on a coffee table. However, up until the time that I saw it on You Tube, I did not realize that the two girls were carrying what appeared to be cloths from the dry clearners. I guess that, since nothing got mentioned about this reality, it went right over my head the first time around. I guess that it was implied that Nell had sent the two girls on a erend. This gives me yes another reason to appreciate the poetic justice that Katie received at the end! In my opinion, the time and energy that Katie spent day dreaming about the handsome boy that she passed is time and energy that she should have spent being thankful to have a lovely sister like Julie to run her erends with!
