Bravo has renewed the "Real Housewives of Miami" for a second season, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

But before "Miami" returns, Bravo plans on re-casting the show and bringing in new production company, Purveyors of Pop, which produces "Bethenny Ever After".

A source close to the series told the trade that Bravo was dissatisfied with the original production company, McFilmworks, and took over during the first season's post-production.

News of the renewal comes as a surprise. "Miami's" seven-episode first season didn't meet the success of its sister shows, delivering just 723,000 viewers to its April 5 finale.

The series overall averaged 1.09 million viewers per episode compared to the 3.5 million that the "Atlanta" edition averaged in its third season.

Bravo is expected to officially announce the renewal, returning cast members and new additions soon.
