Wolverine Sequel Gets a Release Date
2/7/2012
by Borys Kit

Fox has set a July 23, 2013 release date for The Wolverine, the sequel to 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

That date puts the comic book movie on the same date as Lionsgate’s Dirty Dancing remake, which is to be directed by Kenny Ortega, and Disney’s big-screen version of its popular cartoon, Phineas and Ferb.

The only possible competition at this time is Universal’s untitled sci-fi Tom Cruise movie (formerly known as Horizons and Oblivion).

For Wolverine, Hugh Jackman is back as the title character, the Canadian mutant with healing powers and an unbreakable retractable claws.

James Mangold is on board to direct the pic, whose story is set in Japan.

The movie had seen its production start pushed beck several times but in dating the movie, Fox is now making this production a priority.

First Photo for The Wolverine Features a Ripped Hugh Jackman
9/24/2012
by Rebecca Ford

The first photo for The Wolverine has hit the web, and we have one word to describe it: ripped.

The dark photo features Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine standing shirtless and clearly poised for a fight, muscles bulging all over the place.

Wolverine, which is set for release on July 26, 2013, sees Jackman’s Logan traveling to Japan with a samurai warrior.

Nice! I particularly like the last two photos posted. Great movie cover- hopefully this movie will be an improvement over "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"
(not that that movie was all bad...there were some things I liked, but there were a lot of other things that either didn't make sense or just didn't seem to be real well done....)
