This is more of an architectual question then anything else, so here it is: Have you ever noticed the doorway to the right of the judge's bench. When it is shown from a more direct angle, it looks like there is little blue or green colored room behind that door which is about 4 or 5 feet long with another door behind it which finally leads into the hallwall. Now when they show the hallway behind the judge's bence, there is another wall to the left of the bench in the hallway, that comes out only about a foot.
So how can that little room be that long when it doesn't look like there's room for it? It seems like the first door on the courtroom should lead right into the hallway instead of having a room there.
In one episode you could see across from the broom closet in the hallway into that little room and the door in the hallway had a wood stain on it and the door on the courtroom side was kind of a white color. If you want to know what episode I'm referring to, it is the one where Dan hires a butler after Phil dies and Dan is trying to hide from him in the broom closet, but after the butler finds him they start talking to each other, and thats the time when you can see inside the room and you can clearly see two different doors.

wasnt that the hall leading to the holding cell? it wouldnt be the same hallway behind the door to the left because prisoners could escape or some such nonsense. That's really all they ever used that door for anyway, to bring prisoners in and out of.

Just a guess from one as puzzled about the question as you are about the answer.

The hallway I was referring to was the one between the courtroom and Judge Stone's chambers. The holding cells are in the basement and the courtroom is on the 12th floor, give or take. I think there is a stairway behind the door at the very end of the hallway. So maybe the prisoners come up through there, then take a few steps in the hallway, then go through the little room, and finally into the courtroom.
I wonder if the set is still intact, it would be pretty cool to see it if it still was.
