I checked the Nelson website and it said they were playing in Peekskill - which is pretty easy for me to get to by commuter railroad. But since it's Feb and I'm up north I wanted to wait and see how the weather played out. Turned out to be a lovely day so I went up.

The guys were great. They changed the routine around a bit, which was nice. The only minus was the theatre management, which screwed up the meet & greet. They had Matt & Gunnar behind a concession stand in the lobby and had three lines going to meet them. Then in the middle of all of it, the mgmt. decided to make one line. Beautiful theatre but not the most organized folks running it. But Matt and Gunner, the consummate professionals, were SUPER NICE as always.

When I heard Matt & Gunnar in Bay Shore last Aug the theatre there (The Boulton Center) was fantastic. They staged the boys' meet & greet upstairs in the 2nd floor so people could get a photo. Since the Peekskill theatre had the same arrangement, why they didn't put Matt & Gunnar up there is beyond me - as there was a lot more space on the 2nd floor.

But the guys were great. They signed two DVD disks for me, from a SHOUT! Adv. of Ozzie & Harriet release.

If you haven't go and see them, the show was really great. And even a dizzily run theatre couldn't diminish that!

Cool! What did they change in the routine? Was it the duo or the band?

I'm going to see them next month! Woo hoo!

It was just Matt & Gunnar. A few different songs and I think some of the videos seemed different than the first show.....still essentially the same theme.

So you're going to see them next month! GREAT! You should have a blast. They're super nice. Woo hoo indeed!

I saw Ricky Nelson Remembered Saturday night. The show brought back great memories of Ricky and the Nelson family. It's great that Matthew and Gunnar are touring and telling about their dad and family. They seem like down to earth people. They did a meet and greet after the show, but I had such a terrible head cold ( I wasn't going to miss this show cold or not ) I didn't want to infect them.

And I am a fan of the O$H show. I grew up in the 60's and remember watching them.

Compared to some of the other shows in the 1950-60's, the Nelsons had a calmer pace and genuine unforced humor.

Yes, just nice, casual, friendly humor with no vicious comments.
