A country superstar reassured fans that she is still alive after a false report circulated that she had fallen to her death on a mountain in Austria, People.com reports.

Reba McEntire, 56, took to Twitter to squelch the rumor, writing that she is “alive and kicking!”

The false report stemmed from a story on the Global Associated News website, which cited Austrian police as making the announcement about McEntire’s death, according to the story. At the very bottom of the story is a small disclaimer that reads, "THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE … based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction."

The report began trending online, prompting McEntire, the star of the sitcom "Reba," to write on Twitter: "While I would love to be shooting a movie in Austria, I definitely did not fall off a mountain! Nor am I dead! I am alive and kicking!!! … Have a great day," according to the article.

What more proof do you need? She IS still alive. This story makes about as much sense as the "Paul McCartney is Dead" scenario. In other words, it's not true.
