I got to go and see Lisa again today, and I mentioned all of y'all on the boards to her and she said to tell all of y'all hi. So this is from Lisa,

"HI!"

Well, this is how my weekend went in seeing Lisa again.

I left Friday after work and drove to Baytown where my sister lives. We (I drove up with a friend of mine) got to my sisters house about 1am. I finished my gift up that I made for Lisa (more about that in a minute) I got up around 9am got a shower etc... and got dressed then got my niece and nephew dressed. I didn't know exactly where Lisa was going to be so I wanted to leave by 10 so we could get there by 11.

We (my friend and niece and nephew) got to the bookstore just after 11. I bought Lisa's book for my sister and then went and got Lisa to sign it. I walked up to her (there was nobody else there) and Lisa looked up to me and said, "Don't I know you from somewhere?" She actually remembered me from LAST WEEKEND!!!!! I was pretty excited. I told her yes that I had met her last weekend at The Woodlands. She was all like, "That's right, I remember now" (I thought it was pretty cool that she remembered) So she signed the book for my sister and then I asked if she would sign the picture I took with her last weekend. I blew the picture up to an 8X10 (I'll post that after I get home) So Lisa signed that and then I told her that I had a gift for her.

See I make plastic canvas. I knew how much Lisa likes dominoes and I was making some sets anyway, so I made Lisa a set with her name on it. Lisa was pretty excited. Lisa called Haven over to show her (Haven is feeling MUCH better today then she did last weekend) Lisa pulled out her camera and asked if she could take MY picture with the dominoes!!!!! I was pretty excited. I told her sure and she had Haven take our picture with the dominoes. I then asked if I could have another picture with her. She said sure. Then I got Karli's special surprise (I'm not going to say it here, ask Karli after she gets it in about a week :grineyes: )

I left and I was pretty much on a high the rest of the day. I ended up driving to College Station where I am now at my OTHER sister's house b/c she was throwing a party. :cheers: (Jello shots anyone???) After I get homew tomorrow, I will post the signed picture of Lisa and me. After I develope the pictures I will post the new pictures of Lisa and me up here as well. Hope y'all have a good weekend.

Yes I gave her dominoes and she had Haven take mine and Lisa's picture with them (Is that cool or what???) No I did not see Clancy and Tucker, they were at the RV park with Steve. The one yesterday was just a book signing. The one I went to last weekend was a speaking thing/book signing.

No problem about questions. I didn't know how clear I had typed this this morning, because I was a bit...ummm...never mind.

Wow you have NO CLUE how jealous of you I am right now ;) I'll either hitch a ride with my friend, or I'll just plain hitchike. I need to see that woman!!!!

You know, she is just a really great person. I really enjoyed meeting her and I hope all of y'all get to meet her one day too.

Just to let you know, I've updated my webpage and have included meeting Lisa. I should get my pictures from this weekend back today, so I will be adding a few more pictures to my site.

I'm also thinking of revamping my opening page for FOL. I haven't decided yet though, it'll depend on how much work the profs hand out :)

YOU don't need any Jello Shots. They can mess you up quickly, trust me. It took me a good portion of Sunday to get over it, of course that had something to do with lack of sleep, but that's besides the point. :)

I got the pictures developed. Here is one of them. In this picture, Lisa has just opened the dominoes case and is looking at the dominoes. Look at the expression on her face. Is that cool or what? The little girl standing next to me is my niece. I brought both my niece and nephew with me. Lisa was really sweet answering all of my niece's questions that she had.

This is the othre picture that I have. Notice the camera on the table. That is Lisa's camera. She had just had Haven take our picture with the dominoes. That is the "mysterious" camera that we have never seen that takes all of the shots we get to see in Lisa's journal.

I was there for about 30 minutes, and she was only going to be there for an hour. I would say only about 20 people were there while I was there.
