what brand of detergent do you use? And how often do you run it?

I use the Cascade cubes. I run it about once a week.

I don't have a dishwasher now, but when I did I'd run it once a week and use the powdered detergent.

I use Cascade Gel, although the last time I tried Target's brand and liked it. I just haven't been back there. I run it about once a week also, but when I was cooking more, I ran it more.

We just got a new GE dishwasher two weeks ago, replacing the damaged Kenmore which was covered under a Home Warranty policy. We run it once a week also; I haven't used the Gel, but bought the Cascade packs (cubes), which were on sale at Costco. They have been working really well.

I use different ones. All depends on price. Last time I used Tide.My favorite is Cascade cubes though.
