1. James telling florida that he keep an extra $2000 of the money when he could have stayed quiet and used it to provide for his family
2. James taking his wife to a job interview when he wasn't offer the job yet
3. James letting his gambling friend walk off with the silver salt and pepper shakers
4. James buying a Gun and keeping it in a room he is not sleeping in
5. James being jealous that J.J was able to help Thelma go to school

He never explained how he was going to get the gun if someone came through the door while he was in the bedroom LOL

First of all, since they were on the 17th floor they didn't have to worry about anyone bursting through the door. LOL I mean I can see if J.J was a drug dealer or something and owed some money but other than that they were too high up to worry about being robbed

But J.J. had some shady people in his social mix. LOL. you may have a point, though.
He may have thought someone still may try to get into his apartment.
