View Full Version : TV moments you wish you could've seen, but never will
Sammy Reed 01-27-2012, 06:50 PM This thread will be to discuss moments on certain TV shows that you wish you could've seen, but for whatever reason, they'll never happen. Here's one on my mind now.
Because he's dead now, dangit, we'll never have that "Saturday Night Live" skit where surprise guest Nipsey Russell, dressed in an Isis outfit, says as only he could: "Oh zephyr winds, which blow on high, lift me now so I can fly."

Zebra 3 01-29-2012, 04:23 AM Hogan's Heroes (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=71) - Allied tanks at the Stalag 13 gate.
James 01-29-2012, 02:47 PM The Wonder Years - Kevin and the gang graduating McKinley High School!
ajgenard 01-30-2012, 08:19 PM Cheers - Frasier's farewell party that is alluded to in the Frasier episode "Cheerful Goodbyes."
andress_jade 01-30-2012, 10:05 PM Niles and Daphne's second child on Frasier. There will never be a reunion show so we can only imagine what Niles and Daphne's second child looked like. Or how David turned out.
70s show watcher 01-31-2012, 01:01 AM Cheers - Frasier's farewell party that is alluded to in the Frasier episode "Cheerful Goodbyes."i agree that would have been a riot to see
MikeLutton 01-31-2012, 01:41 AM the bunkers visit the Jeffersons that would of been great
Sammy Reed 01-31-2012, 05:51 PM The last 2 years of "Sanford & Son" were the first 2 years of "Saturday Night Live". Since "Sanford & Son" borrowed quite a few quotes from other TV shows and movies of the time, it's a wonder there wasn't one time Fred answered the phone by saying: "Hello, I'm Fred G. Sanford - and you're not."
UMFaninMD 01-31-2012, 09:32 PM Punky Brewster - Punky finally finding her mother Susan.
Regulus 01-31-2012, 10:13 PM Lost in Space
After going through a Meteor Swarm simular to the one the went through on the first episode, the Robot recognises the Stars, and the Jupiter II returns to Earth.
jehobden 02-01-2012, 08:38 PM The Wonder Years - Kevin and the gang graduating McKinley High School!
That's the biggest reason why I wish The Wonder Years had had one final season. Kevin & his family were left hanging with Kevin a year from graduation. It's also a shame that his dad was killed off (in Kevin's comments at show's end) so soon afterward.

Yeah, the comic possibilities with George, Florence, and Archie would've been hilarious!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned John Ritter and the 3's Company reunion that will never happen. For that matter the Ropers and Don Knotts are gone too.

Us LIS fans were waiting for that to happen which never did. Dick Tufeld, the voice of the Robot died yesterday.

Sorry, never liked Sanford and Son that much.
But a Jeffersons/Bunker reunion and a 3's Company reunion would've been absolutely classic!
Retro4Life 02-02-2012, 08:09 PM Final (and concluding) episodes of Taxi, All in the Family, WKRP in Cincinnati.

The Jeffersons never had a series finale either.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-05-2012, 03:02 AM Jack and Janet ending up together on Three's Company. Yeah, I said it. I SAID IT. Breaks my heart every day.
And, of course, the reunion that we'll never see.

Schmoopie 02-19-2012, 02:11 AM Well since Andress already mentioned Niles and Daphne with David and their second child, I'll use Seinfeld instead. We'll never find out what happened after they got out of jail. But then again, I've written a few fan fics with my ideas of what happened!
Torgo 02-23-2012, 10:19 AM Conclusions to- Land Of The Giants, The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr.
Yong Fang 02-29-2012, 07:31 AM The Jeffersons never had a series finale either.
WKRP had a Season Finale. The station became #6 in the overall Cincinnati radio market with Johnny Fever the #1 morning disc jockey. Mama Carlson wanted to turn the station into a 24 hour news talk because she wanted the station to lose money as a tax write off. However through some emotional blackmail from Johnny, about her relationship with Arthur at Mama Carlson's house made her change her mind. (For the record, the actess, Carol Bruce who played Mama outlived Gordon Jump who played her son, and they were about 15 years apart in age)
The Jeffersons not only not had a season finale, the players had no idea the show was going to be axed, with Sherman Hemsley finding out by reading an industry trade newspaper.
Three's Company morphed into something called Three's a Crowd with Jack Tripper suddenly marrying a woman that no one saw and her intrusive father in law (the same dude who played Chester Tate on Soap). The show flopped.

TV_on_the_Porch 02-29-2012, 05:19 PM Sherman Helmsley has an either faulty or selective memory. He needs to be reminded of the mini publicity blitz he conducted in early 1985 to drum up support for the flagging show, including a feeble write-in campaign attempt to convince the network not to cancel the show.
I don't doubt that he got confirmation of cancellation in a trade paper, but the point is only the show's renewal would have been worth telling him in person; by then cancellation was a foregone conclusion.

Checking In from 1981 on CBS

He never said he didn't know the show was being cancelled, it was Isabel Sanford
duckie 02-29-2012, 07:43 PM Conclusions to- Land Of The Giants, The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr.
I would of loved to see the Land of the Giants characters get back to their planet.
Ihavealife2uknow 03-15-2012, 09:21 PM Degrassi-
Not that it's necessary but I wish we could have seen JT/Liberty decide to have sex for the first time. Same for KC/Jenna.
Full House-
*Joey getting in a serious relationship instead of girls that pop in for an episode or two.
*D.J. announcing her major in college and D.J./Steve officially getting back together.
*Jesse/Becky and the twins getting their own place.
7th Heaven-
*The immediate aftermath of how Simon, Eric and Annie felt when Simon hit that kid. I didn't need to see the accident but I would have loved to see how they reacted right after it happened instead of 3 months later.
*When Ruthie was so thrilled that her father thought she was sexy, I always had it in my head that Ruthie would be the Camden who ended up pregnant as a teenager. I kind of wish we got to see that in season 11 since that season was really boring. She could of got pregnant in Scotland or T-Bone could of impregnated her and then Eric/Annie would finally kick themselves for letting the girls boyfriends live under their roof.
*A Simon/Cecilia reunion
