The segments on UM. I would love to see TV movies about many of them, especially the Satchel bandit Charles Warren Boomer. And also on William John Wood, AKA Max Carson. and one more, The guys from Georgia that disappeared after their fishing boat sunk, where only one was found in the boats bait box.

They should make one about the Sohus/Gerhartsreiter case

They actually did make a made-for-TV movie called "Who is Clark Rockefeller?" starring Eric McCormack of "Will & Grace" fame. It mostly covers Rockefeller's marriage and the years leading up to his arrest, but it does briefly cover the Sohus case. There's even a scene where a character references the case being shown on "Unsolved Mysteries".

As for UM stories that need their own movie, the Circleville Letters is definitely my #1 choice. No screenwriter could possibly have dreamed up that story on their own.

The Sohus case got me thinking about how many UM segments already have movies. That one sort of has "Who is Clark Rockefeller". There was a movie about the Jaclyn Dowaliby case. I think they did at least one on the Jeff MacDonald and DB Cooper cases. There was one about John List.

Has a movie been done on Franklin Floyd and Sharon Marshall? Darlie Routier? How about Amy Billig? Oba Chandler?

Also agree the Circleville letters would be a good choice.

How about a movie about the City of Medford, Oregon? Considering UM profiled 4 different cases from a fairly obscure city, there must be a lot of shenanigans going on up there. ;)

They did. The movies were Fatal Vison (featuring two-time UM host Karl Malden) and The Pursuit of DB Cooper, respectively. The former was a 1984 TV-movie; the latter was released in theaters in 1981.

There was one about John List.

It was a 1993 TV-movie titled Judgment Day: The John List Story (though John List was never featured on UM). Robert Blake played John List.

Judging by the character name searches I did at the Internet Movie Data Base, the answer is no on all counts.

Was there ever anything made on Dr. Michael Swango?

Not sure but that would be a good one

I checked at IMDB via a character name search, but to no avail. So my determination is that there is no movie about Dr. Michael Swango - unless the name was changed for a movie (like they did with spree killer Charlie Starkweather's name for Badlands).

I know that made-for-TV movies have been made about the Marie Hilley, Paul Stamper and Dave Davis cases, and I believe the latter two were actually produced by Cosgrove-Meurer Productions. This Cosgrove-Meurer made-for-TV flick also sounds like it was heavily inspired by the Terasita Basa case:

Of course, it's a lot easier to make movies about the solved cases. There are a lot of UM stories that would make great movies, but the problem is that they don't have an ending.

For some reason, I've always thought a movie about Dale Kerstetter would have been interesting.

I agree, plus the ending would be open to interpretation with the bag.

I'd also nominate the Dave Bocks segment as a good horror/suspense movie.

I think the case of Audrey Moate would have been a great TV movie, as well as Amy Bradley, Tammy Leppert, and Amy Billig.

I would like to see a movie about what really could have happened to Lt.Chad Langford in Huntville, Alabama back in 1992. He was only 20 years old and an MP in the Army. The Army declared it a suicide, but that seems to be the way they solve cases they don't want anything being looked too far into. His father convinced me as well as his girlfriend that Langford was wrapped up in something that his job would not allow him to discuss. Drugs and guns. Implications of a planned robbery with a group of other Army buddies. Something just didn't add up. Chad may have been set up or didn't want to go along with how the assignment was unfolding. That young Army MP did not kill himself. Its too clean and quick to have determined suicide and seems to have been something gone wrong like our current Fast and Furious gun scandal in DC. It also reminds me of the movie "White Sands". Lt.Chad Langford didn't even have GSR on his hands from what I heard on the show. I wonder if his father and grandmother ever had anyone re-investigate privately. It's been 20 years. Anyone know anything else about this case?

The Boys on the Tracks. And yeah, Circleville Letters would be awesome.
