in this episode, what do they call themselves in their act? "GILBERT & SULLIVAN" or "GILBERT & SOLOMON"? I always thought it was "GILBERT & SULLIVAN" but I just watched it again and it sounded like they said "GILBERT & SOLOMON". So which is it?

Hi, treky

I've always thought it was Gilbert and Solomon, being their take-off on Gilbert and Sullivan. I think the "Solomon" is most pronounced (no pun intended) when Rob repeats the name of the team after they're introduced by the show announcer (Carl Reiner, I believe). You can read Rob's lips say, "...Solomon." And, since Buddy refers to Sally as "Sally Gilbert" during their performance, that would make Buddy "Solomon," perhaps a side-reference to Buddy's Jewishness.
