I'm sure all of you saw the movie "Legally Blonde" last summer, a very funny flick with Reese Witherspoon. BUT--has anyone considered that the movie MAY HAVE BEEN based on the FOL episode where Blair was trying to get into law school?? Here are some hints:
1. Reese Witherspoon's character and Blair are almost identical in every way (over-privileged, rich, "soshe"-type, super popular, kind of "ditzy" blonde, etc).
2. Boyfriend's name is Warner. The actress he goes with later in the picture (and R.W.'s nemesis) is Selma Blair--get it--BLAIR--WARNER!!
3. Reese Witherspoon's character is named Elle Woods. Get this:
say it out--Elle--"L." Woods' initial is "W"--together you get L.W.
which are the initials for Lisa Whelchel!!
4. Elle tries to use her looks and influence to pursuade the law school officials to allow her to join--just like when Blair tried to bribe the law school to allow her to join. In both instances, they used things not related to proper qualifications and credentials necessary for entering law school (exept in Elle's case, they let her slide).
5. Both Elle and Blair were caught in the middle of suspicious, unprofessional activities with their professors.
6. Both Elle and Blair had great difficulty with their tests.
So that's just a sample OF AMAZING SIMILARITIES between FOL
girls and their cinematic counterparts!!
