It's not replacing Good Times, Sanford and Son, or All in the Family. But any kind of change is good when a programming schedule for a channel has been the same for so long.

But I'm looking forward to watching WKRP in Cincinnati in April, another sitcom from the 70's I haven't had a chance to sample. Maybe it does well and can be added to the weekday.: http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2012/01/natpe-2012-day-1-has-wkrp-in-cincinnati.html

I'll have to go check. lol

I'd pick

Alice
One Day at a Time
Chico and the Man
WKRP in Cincinnati

I just wish they'd take the movies off. That way they wouldn't have to get rid of anything.

And you're too lazy to try Soap and Too Close for Comfort. Those are rare and haven't been seen on TV in years, but you always fail to mention that.

See you complain, yet have no idea what is on nor what the schedule is! Soap airs every Sunday night at 11pm-12am and they just started with episode 1 again.

Too Close for Comfort airs Fri & Sun, four times a week. Fridays 8-9pm & encore 12-1am and Sundays 7-8pm & encore 12-1am.

And MeTV has rights to Bob Newhart, so Antenna TV can't air it.

Well why is hallmark able to air Bob Newhart then?

And you know that 11pm to 12am is a bad slot for a NBA and NFL fan to sample a new show. I think that would only work for me in the summertime.

Hallmark is cable. MeTV and Antenna TV are NOT cable networks...they are digital broadcast networks. And Soap started in June, so why didn't you watch it in the summer??? It aired from 10pm-12am all summer. You're full of it Solomon. Like I said, if you want to watch it, you'd find a way. Timeslots don't matter.

I watched Soap some in the summer, but I haven't watched it in a while. I try to watch Too Close for Comfort whenever possible. I watched it on Friday. All the shows they have are great. It's the movies I don't really care much about. I can't wait to see what's coming this spring.

Good to see Antenna TV is changing but it's not replacing one of those LEAR SITCOMS so nothing is really changing but it's a start I guess.

Guess if you are a TV network if a show is doing well it keep it on there for 10 years regardless of the viewing public seen 88 cycles of the show.

I have a friend who works for Tribune who claimed in November that they were trying to acquire WKRP it so I was hopefully optimistic, he has also said they were trying to acquire rights to Warner Bros. shows Alice, Welcome Back Kotter and Chico and the Man and I havent heard nothing about those shows yet so perhaps it didnt work out.

With the way they treat Three's Company, I'm surprised Antenna TV didn't also secure the rights to The New WKRP in Cincinnati.

Probably because The New WKRP in cincinnati is not a spinoff. It was a revival series

Finally will be able to see the famous "I thought turkey's could fly" episode again this year :D

The only time original music is not heard is when it's released on DVD or aired on Cable. Everything should be heard on Antenna TV

Hint: Too Close for Comfort is moving to weekdays. (You better watch it now, Solomon)

Glad to see Too Close for Comfort coming to weekdays, but a little disappointed WKRP is the only new show. I've never seen it before, but I can give it a try. I just wish they would have added more than one show. I really want Diff'rent Strokes and the Facts of Life real bad.

All in due time. They have already a lot of shows bought. Possibly in January 2013 when lots of deals expire, more shows will come in.

Not true at all. They have had music replacements since day one in syndication and by the late 90s when contracts expired, many more were done.
