Eugene Mirman was pleased to hear Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly praise his animated show “Bob’s Burgers’’ at a party Sunday for the network’s midseason and returning shows at Castle Green in Pasadena, Calif. Mirman, the Lexington native who voices misfit middle child Gene, said Reilly’s comments made him feel better about his job security. “It’s very exciting to hear someone be excited about a show I’m on and say ‘We’re going to keep making it.’ Because last year [the executives were saying] ‘Who knows what’s going to happen?’ ’’ Mirman was just one celeb at the event which drew most of the cast of “Glee,’’ as well as Charlie Sheen, who was talking up his FX series “Anger Management,’’ and Kiefer Sutherland, who is returning to Fox in the new drama “Touch.’’ Mirman chatted with Sutherland for a while, then praised Jack Bauer for his down-to-earth qualities. “He’s really, really sweet.’’ Mirman joked that now that the pair are on the same network, “I’m sure we’ll just drive around New York City in a limo throwing rocks at people. While also doing a lot of benefits. I probably should’ve picked a better example than throwing rocks at people.’’ Mirman will be back in Boston Jan. 28 to perform stand-up at Mottley’s Comedy Club. The season premiere of “Bob’s Burgers’’ is March 11.
