I know he passed away at the Lillian Booth Actor's home and his obit stated he had a wife and daughter but is there any evidence to support your claims that he died all alone? Mr. Cover was admitted to the LBAH in December, 2005 in order to recuperate from a heart operation and 2 months later he passed away from pneumonia. His family simply could not have provided the care that he needed especially in his condition and why you would even suggest that the cast or crew of The Jeffersons should've taken him in is beyond me. It wasn't his co-workers responsibility to take him in and The Jeffersons had been off the air for 21 years at the time of his death and they obviously went their separate ways when the show ended. If the hospital staff were aware that Mr. Cover was near-death then they would've called the family but it's very possible that he died in his sleep. I've never read anything bad about the LBAH so I have no doubt that he received very good care while there.

Thanks for clearing that up. So he does have a wife and daughter but they thought he'd get better care in the home than what they could provide

I just mentioned the cast and crew if Cover were truly all alone and had no help whatsoever but you say he did have family.

I wish people would start discussions about the actual show and not something depressing about an actor who has been dead for 5 years.

There's plenty of room here for discussion of the show and the actors that starred in it whether they're alive or deceased.

I know you are passionate about death topics but unless it's a recent death it shouldn't be on the board. This is supposed to be a board for fun discussion

I'm not passionate about them, my reason for starting threads of that nature is that if I didn't, some of these passings would probably go unnoticed. I personally don't see anything wrong with discussing an actor who has passed away and this board isn't the only one it's been done on. If you don't like the thread title then do what most others do and don't bother clicking it, just move on to another one.

I think you forgot that I can see that a new thread was posted in each fourm by just scrolling down the 1970's list and when i see a new thread was posted on the Jeffersons and it has nothing to do with the show I get annoyed. Some new posting rules need to be addressed.

Thanks. I started it because Cover died all alone in a home for actors so I wanted to find out what the hell happened!
