They won their division and that's that.

It's fair to a degree.

I think it's kind of lame that division winners that don't have a winning record make the playoffs while other teams with better records- sometimes much better records- sit home.

I can live with 8-8 making the playoffs. But 7-9 like last year with Seattle is just wrong. I don't care that they beat the Saints, a team with a winning record was more deserving to make it.

This isn't a million games like baseball. And teams that put up 10, 11 wins don't make it in favor of an 8-8 team? Just feels wrong.

But I accept it for now.

The Giants at least had 9 wins.

And the Giants didn't back in. They beat their division rival to get in.

Not like the Cowboys lost to someone else that week so the Giants squeaked in.

I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan. The Giants earned it. No matter how lame that division turned out. At least it wasn't 8-8.

And I actually would have a problem with my team going to the playoffs at 8-8.

It boggles this Cowboys fan's mind.

Is it truly a great head coach who can make all this talent work?

Because I don't put it all on Romo.
And the the secondary obviously sucks.

But teams with lesser talent on both sides of the ball have risen above their deficiencies and excelled.

You have to take your strengths to the extreme.

You'd think Jerry Jones would be sick of this proverbial banging the head against the wall.

I was watching the 49ers game today and all I kept thinking was...look at that team. One year ago they had the same record as the Cowboys and in one year their new head coach turned them completely around. That defense looked great and even Alex Smith has turned into a good QB. I agree. With every point.

I hate the 49ers too. And to my dying day I will say that Steve Young owes his Super Bowl ring to Jerry Jones for hiring Barry Switzer.
No day on earth was Jimmy Johnson losing that NFC championship game.
Seriously, think about that. Steve Young with no ring. Not the same greatness in my mind, all things considered.

Jerry Jones should look no further than the Niners to see what his team could be. But a stubborn jackass like himself won't hire a real GM, won't get a coach to call the shots, won't just back off and let someone else do their job and win.

Tebow time has only just begun. His career is New, and most likely he will just get better. I think many are failing to realize how young Tebow is. Most of the great ones didn't start off playing nearly as well as Tebow, give him time and he will only get better, and work out many of his kinks.

But there may be some Tebow hate in Cleveland if we play against The Broncos in the AFC Championship and Tebow recreates "The Drive"...but I said "IF" because The "Browns" CAN'T win! (This was also the 2nd time in their Franchise History that The "Browns" couldn't beat anyone in their Division)!
