View Full Version : Ever try "Liking" a comment here on SO?
Brad Russ 01-14-2012, 02:16 AM Do you ever forget you are on SO, and think you are on Facebook, and so you try liking a comment? I just tried to like one of JamesG's posts on the music board and remembered, D'OH I'm not on fb. lol I do this all the time. I usually go back and forth between here and Facebook, so it's an easy mistake to make.

MrCleveland 01-14-2012, 10:29 AM I hope we can have a Like/Dislike link. Some forum sites have that, I disliked a few things someone said to me and I was tempted to give one reason and I'd say "you're a bitch"...but resisted!

Hahaha, yeah, I've suggested Facebook get a dislike button many times, but they still haven't. Probably good that they don't though. Facebook has already helped perpetuate the problem of losing great friends a thousand times worse, no reason to make it worse by adding a feature that can possibly help harbour more bad feelings towards the people you care about.
ZeldaGilroy 01-15-2012, 04:49 AM I often read things, don't have a reply but want to show I agree or enjoyed the post and start to click "Like" before I realize where I am.
I post more on fb than I do here, simply because it is my way to keep up with family and friends, so it is easy to get into that habit.
Brad Russ 01-15-2012, 01:02 PM Thanks for responding guys. I knew I couldn't be alone on this. Btw, Facebook needs an edit option. I'm constantly screwing up things, and wish I could edit. I would just copy and paste, but I still don't know how to do that on a cell phone. My cell is the only way I can get online these days.
YouTube has a dislike option, but I don't even bother with it. If I did, I'd dislike 70% of the crap I read there. Most of the people who post there are ass clowns. I don't even bother reading YouTube comments anymore. My iq drops to room temperature everytime I do. lol

^^Same here,it would be nice to have a like button for that reason. The old TVLand forum(not the one they have now) had a like button, and I thought it was a neat feature.
Schmoopie 01-17-2012, 03:31 AM OMG, I do that all the time! Glad I'm not the only one!

I agree with you regarding the comments on You Tube. I love to go there and watch some of their old shows and commercials, but I usually don't read the comments because they're so obscene.

Some YT comments on there may want to make some declare Flame Wars.
Crimson and Clover 01-18-2012, 09:20 AM Yep, I do it too.
