There was a 419 scammer who decided to do an interview shortly after he was caught. The interviewer asked, "Do you feel sympathy for your victims?" He said, "No, why should I? My victims are people who have lots of money, and want to get more. It's their own stupidity and greediness that make them my victims. It's their own fault if they want to stupidly give away money they already have, hoping to get even more money." Do you guys agree with what he said?:confused:

This is their way of justifying what they do. If they felt badly about it, they wouldn't pull the chicanery in the first place. Some folks are just wired wrong and can lie at the drop of a hat. They will gladly throw individuals under the bus to suit their purposes, all the while making the other party out to look crazy or incompetent.

Watch out for charming narcissists that often boarder on or are actually sociopaths. There are usually red flag warning people, but many of the narcissists are masters at homing in on a person at a particularly vulnerable time or their life, or someone with which they have some inside information on they can use to their own gain. That is when they strike, and they are destroyers.

I've been scammed a few times, (mostly by mechanics), though I do know some very honest mechanics, and I can tell you they didn't lose any sleep over any of it!

This isn't surprising. I'm sure atleast half of the scammers out there have little or no remorse. If they did, they probably wouldn't be doing it to begin with. Many of them have entitlement issues, thinking that just because they had a tough life, that excuses them for hurting the innocent. I have no sympathy for people like that!

One thing I forgot to mention. I have issues with many rich people myself, but in their defense, most of them probably earned their money. If this scammer put half the effort into making money in an honest way, that he puts into leaching off of others who work their asses off for their money, maybe then he wouldn't have such a pathetic outlook on people, and life itself.

for those who don't know what a "419" scam is-it's when someone contacts you through e-mail or an on-line dating site and says that they're from the U.S. and are now overseas-ussaly but not always in some third world country- on either buisness or a pleasure trip, and need money to get back home. Sometimes they'll say there's noone else they can ask, and they promise they'll pay you back, and if it's an on-line dating site (which is, unfortunately, sometimes a "hangout" for them) they may promise to come to you and promise romance, and they may even send you a picture which they say is of them. These are just the basics, there are many variations of it.

I almost fell for it a couple times.
