Ralph: "I can't believe that this Monday is Martin Luther King Day this Monday. It seems like yesterday that we were celbrating Christmas."

Ed: "Yeah. I can't believe that this holiday is 26 years old."

Ralph: "Yeah. One of the youngest holidays. That Martin guy sure deserves it. Can you imagine what would happen today if a bus company made rules that said 'Only black people get on this bus.' Imagine the outcry."

Ed: "Or 'only white people can go down this sewer.'"

Ralph: "It is a shame that he left this world too early. He would have loved the fact that the first black man was inaugurated the day after Martin Luther King Day. Of course, I wonder what his opinion of Barack is now."

Ed: "Probably the same as most of America. If Barack's job performance level goes way down than I wonder if we are going to get another black president."

Ralph: "Just think. Without Martin Luther King, we probably would have never had the country that we have now. Every race would be separated and the world would have been much worse than it is now."

Ed: "I think tonight when we go to the Raccoon Lodge, we should make a toast to that sweet kid, Martin Luther King."

Ralph: "Yes, we ought too. He would have been proud. I think he would have also made a great president and a great Raccoon."

(They both sing a song about Martin Luther King.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
