For a while there, it didn’t seem like Llanview fans were going to have to bid farewell to their friends on ABC’s One Life to Live — but that was before Prospect Park was unable to work out a deal to keep the show running on the internet. So Friday’s airing of the 43-year-old soap will truly be its last.

ABC released more photos from the sudser’s last days of shooting. (The last one is especially sad). The Agnes Nixon series will be replaced by The Revolution, another lifestyle show that bows on Jan. 16.

Such a shame - and ironic that it's airing the final episode on Friday the 13th.

Technically it is and it isn't really, since some of Llanview's citizens will be on General Hospital reprising their roles so it's brighter news at least.

It's sort of similar to what happened in 1999 when Another World was cancelled and several cast members reprised their roles on As the World Turns. However, only one of them stayed long-term (3 years) - Tom Eplin as Jake. So we'll see how long the actors making the move will last on GH.

Here's a photo of the ever-classy Erika Slezak accepting one of her many Emmys a few years ago. I love love love that gown and it is the perfect color for her!!

She's a classy lady and I'd vote for her to play Endora on the new Bewitched, since she's good at playing different personalities. Plus she's around the same age as Agnes Moorehead was when Bewitched debuted.

She'd be great as Endora.

Great avatar. Yes, I could see her as Endora. All she'd have to do is sport the red hair and she'd be all set.

If I was an executive at ABC, I'd have extended the end date of One Life to Live to April 13 instead of January 13, when ABC first announced the cancellation of the series.

I saw on Facebook that there's actually a page where you can "Boycott The Chew and The Revolution" just because they replaced long-running soaps AMC and OLTL (and there's a lot of negative Chew comments on there already!). Oh, and as for the OLTL finale, I only thought to watch it out of curiousity, and I thought it was better than the AMC finale (though not by much), even if there was a cliffhanger moment for Todd.

So I watched the OLTL finale and I have one question, who was Allison talking to at the end? I know he was tied up but I couldnt tell who it was.

It was Victor Jr., the man we used to think was Todd and who was supposedly murdered by him months ago, played by Trevor St John once again.

The ending was disappointing, because it was written when there was still hope that the show would continue in an online format. Tough to encompass 43 years and try to wrap things all up in one tiny package. Another one bites the dust...

I wrote about the ending in my blog:

I was let down that the whole ending of the show was so wrapped up in recent stuff-they could have done a much better job looking back at the legacy of the show as a whole. They certainly could have at least had Vicki say yes to Clint's proposal.

Not bringing back Larry Wolek was the mistake of many years-the show existed before the Buchanan's came to town and not having any trace of that is pretty bad. I know Vicki is a continuous element but when you remove all the pieces of her life that relate to before then it almost seems like it didn't happen-even her children with Joe Riley aren't there anymore, it's just the Clint offspring. Not that I don't love the Buchanans-I do-but the end of the entire show should have been more inclusive.

and then there were four.

I follow a soap board and they are actually spoiling that those 4 are not the only ones to go to GH.

That....TSJ (Victor) is coming too. :D

Pretty thrilled if that turns out to be true. I did a happy dance when they showed him yesterday. My sexy little crumpet Vic LIVES!!!

I heard the same thing too about TSJ. Heck that was even my prediction. I love OLTL's writer Ron Carlivati. I like his writing and the fact that he and OLTL Executive Producer Frank Valentini have a role with them continuing this OLTL cliffhanger is fabulous. I'm also a member at soapcentral.com.

I went to an event friday in Manhattan to watch the last episode with other fans. Some of the ex-cast members showed up: Carmen LoPorto (ex-Jack) Saoirse Scott (ex-Jaime) and Tobias Truvillion (ex-Vincent Jones). It was a great event. I took pics with them and they were so sweet, kind and cool.

That's awesome. :D I loved Vincent. He was an excellent character. Kinda bummed when they got rid of him and Nash both within a 5 month period.

Btw, I dont know if you noticed this but while I was watching Desperate Housewives, I saw an ad for The Revolution. Find it odd, that they never aired a One Life to Live promo during Desperate Housewives yet they did for The Revolution. Isn't that strange?? Note the sarcasm.

So who watched the final ep? Any thoughts? I watched it but I don't want to spoil anyone because the end is just... wow....

I loved it. It was great to watch it with other fellow fans. I went into the party asking if this was the viewing party for "The Chew". LOL. Then I started standing up cheering when the TV was on The Chew. I was such a practical joker. LOL.
