View Full Version : if Cindy only had a one bedroom apartment, why did she put an ad in the paper
TVFactFan 01-12-2012, 08:22 PM for a ROOMATE????????_LOL Futhermore why would she take in a MALE ROOMATE which was Michael and there was only one bedroom and one bed? Michael said he would sleep on the couch-lol
Now how long was a STRAIGHT MAN and STRAIGHT WOMEN going to be able to live in a one bedroom apartment without something POPPING OFF?? LOL
michael was so full of sh*T in this episode
Brieannas21 01-18-2012, 02:24 PM Wasn't that the whole premise of Three's Company? He lived with those girls for years. On occasion (not always) when a person is in college it is not that uncommon to a have roommate in a One bedroom apartment. You either sleep on the couch or make a bed on the floor.

Yes if you are the SAME SEX not the OPPOSITE SEX. And if you are the opposite sex then you would have to be gay. why would a straight women who lives alone take in a straight man and it's only one bedroom? That's why I said it was a hidden agenda between the both of them

Growing up I have always had more male friends then girl friends. I believe that I could have had a male roommate in College without having sex with them or even being attracted to them. That is like saying men and women can't be just friends. Jack on Three's Company never slept with Chrissy, Janet, Terri and Cindy.
Sophia's Wrinkles 01-18-2012, 11:13 PM It's a sitcom. Stop taking everything so literally.

If you can't contribute anything to this thread then stay the hell out of it.
Sophia's Wrinkles 01-19-2012, 12:01 AM You contribute nothing. For the past dozen years or so you have posted absolutely nothing of substance. I mean seriously, realize that nothing is supposed to be taken as fact. Just watch the damn show and realize that nothing is supposed to be taken as fact. It's fiction! Suspend your belief for half a second.

you are clearly on mental medication
Sophia's Wrinkles 01-19-2012, 12:34 AM Riiight. Yet I'm the one who's trying to make sense of fiction. Get a clue. You're trying to normalize sitcom writing in the 70s. People were just trying to make a living! No one gave a **** if it made sense to obsessive people attempting to construct a legit storyline of it 20 years later.

It was 30 years later you POTTED PLANT
Sophia's Wrinkles 01-19-2012, 12:53 AM ...ok? It makes even less sense to try to make sense of it in 2012 than it did in the 70s. What exactly is the point you are trying to prove? Just watch the show! What are you looking for here? It's a sitcom about a family with characters who rarely worked and yet somehow managed to pay the rent every month. Nothing about it made sense! What are you searching for?

I'm sure you've read every one of his 70,657 posts and analyzed each one for substance.

Look you bacon bit, I was not looking for an answer to my question, I was just looking to have a discussion about the episode the same way people talk about soap operas. If you had something in your head besides OATMEAL, you would have known I was discussing the episode and not really wanting to know why Cindy wanted a roomate.

ITA it is overanalytical, Solomon. LOL. However, here in NYC, it is very common for someone to rent out their couch to someone or for someone to make the living room their bedroom. Man or woman. Maybe it was the same back in the late 70's and early 80's. Cindy probably wanted some extra money. I think that it could have worked. Maturity has to take a role in a situation like that. It may not be for everybody, though. I know for me, I wouldn't do it.

Ok well I'm going to put an ad in the paper tomorrow for a female roomate and she can sleep in the living room and go half with me on this rent that's almost $1000 a month LOL

No you're not. Stop trying to be funny. LOL. Some people can live co-ed straight or gay. Seriously, it happens here. People will make the living room into a bedroom. One of my coworkers did that over in Manhattan for a while. Another coworker rented out his bedroom and moved into his closet.
