USATVFAN 01-11-2012, 10:36 PM FULL DETAILS: http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2012/01/joyce-dewitt-and-suzanne-somers-reunite.html
Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb were on Suzanne Somers YouTube Show called Breaking Through and she told them that there was going to be a Reunion between her and Joyce Dewitt on Break Trough.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Trhj3qLPM
Also watch the expressions on Kathie Lee and Hoda face when she say she reuniting with Joyce.
She also explains what happened(Will Hoda said she never really understood what happened and so Suzanne told Hoda her side But If I were Hoda I would go out and but the book)
And GET THIS... Kathie Lee Sided with Suzanne and said that she was the breakthrough Star on The show and that she deserve the raise she asked for!!! WTF! Kathie Lee need to read up on THE WHOLE situation.
Mr. Television 01-11-2012, 11:29 PM I'll believe it when I see it.
USATVFAN 01-12-2012, 12:07 AM I'll believe it when I see it.
I agree!! I won't believe until I see It!! At the moment I am not holding my Breath.
Pavan 01-12-2012, 12:31 AM Suzanne could be lying again, so we'll see. I am contacting Joyce right now.
USATVFAN 01-12-2012, 01:14 AM According to Chris Mann Mann Joyce and Suzanne will be Reuniting later this month. I don't know on Breakthrough or somewhere else. I am thinking on Breakthrough

Mr. Television 01-12-2012, 01:23 AM Wow, this will be big news if it happens. It's long overdue though. It's time to let bygones be bygones.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-12-2012, 02:14 AM Lawdhamercy. It really is 2012.
I just watched this. I'm super excited. Best part of that clip:
Hoda: what happened?
Suzanne: lol I dunno
Boy do I get angry when she tries to make herself out to be some feminist revolutionary. Here's how I feel about it: Demanding equal pay is fine. Totally fine. I get it. It's bullcrap. But it's the way she went about it, stepping all over others to get hers. No. That's the problem and that's what she leaves out.
Either way, this is big. The gossip shows have had a field day with these ladies for 30 years. (Battle of the womens! Blonde vs Brown Haired Lady loL! Jealousy! Cat fights! Weaves everywhere!) So, I mean, there you go. I have to give them both props for going for it. To Suzanne for deciding to do this for once, and to Joyce for agreeing to put up with Suzanne's shenanigans.

My sentiments exactly, Sonny!!!

Pavan 01-13-2012, 07:53 AM Folks, it is already taped! It is airing Jan. 26 on Suzanne's web series. It went very well! Story coming on Monday, stay tuned...
old grouch 01-13-2012, 10:30 AM This is great news. Too bad John Ritter isn't alive to be a part of the reunion.

I was just thinking the same thing! John needs to be here for the reunion!

We have some updates on the reunion, will blog it on Monday, so please read then.

Ok but Jason Ritter should be there to take the place of John!
janet42 01-15-2012, 09:10 AM Ok but Jason Ritter should be there to take the place of John!
That's a good idea. Hope they can do that in a future date. :)
Pavan 01-15-2012, 02:37 PM Ok but Jason Ritter should be there to take the place of John!
That's not a reunion. This is between Joyce and Suzanne. They are the ones reunited and they are the ones who did not speak to each other for over 30 years. John spoke to both of them. And if John was still with us, after this reunion between the two, I'm sure there would be have an actual reunion on TV. Jason could be a part of that, if that ever happens, along with Richard Kline, Priscilla Barnes and Jenilee Harrison.

I don't understand why Jason Ritter would be a part of any reunion. He wasn't on the show.
Skywalker 01-15-2012, 04:09 PM I'm glad they are finally reuniting. It's just too bad it took so long.

I only said to have Jason stand in for John since he's no longer with us. I never said it's a perfect replacement or anything.

TVFactFan 01-16-2012, 12:08 AM I guess it was always debatable whether or not Suzanne was the real star of the show because after she left the show was never in the top 10 again

Actually Three's Company was on the Top Ten Ratings in it's Sixth and Seventh season: http://www.classictvhits.com/tvratings/1981.htm
Spring 1977: #11
1977–1978: #3
1978–1979: #2

1980–1981: #8
1981–1982: #4
1982–1983: #6
1983–1984: #35
I think John was the Breakout star of the Three, but I always have thought of Three's Company as an Ensemble Cast and not just 1 Lead Character and his Supporting Members and that what John and Joyce decided early on(Season 2) that it is an Ensemble and not a 1 Star Show. I guess they forgot to tell that to Suzanne.

The best 3's Company episodes were with Terri and there's no doubt about it!

Yes, that was John Ritter. Not Jack Tripper.

Same person dude! I even heard Amy Yasbeck once say Jack Tripper was how John was in real life in so many ways!

John was the star but they did just fine with Cindy and Terri as roomates! Suzanne was expendable.
Mr. Television 01-17-2012, 09:43 AM John was the star but they did just fine with Cindy and Terri as roomates! Suzanne was expendable.
Everyone was expendable except John.
USATVFAN 01-17-2012, 08:23 PM Suzanne Somers was on 'The Talk' Today and talked about her Reunion with Joyce Dewitt: http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_talk/video/2187887954/the-talk-1-17-2012
Suzanne comes on at 37:30
She lies again!! She never stop lying! She claims she never missed a day of work and was never late ..,. UM whatever Suzanne! They had to scrap/Cancel two episodes and delay another because you never showed up. One-time the cast agreed to delay taping for Sunday so Suzanne could go to her Son Soccer game on Saturday afternoon. Sunday Came and guest what? She doesn't Show up Taping! S Some of the cast had to lean her lines in just a couple hours before taping. She is really missed up. Maybe she need to read the TC book again!

Keck's Exclusives: First Look at a Three's Company Reunion
Jan 29, 2012 10:30 PM ET
by William Keck
Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne Somers
Three decades after Suzanne Somers was escorted off the set of Three's Company (she asked for a salary hike producers found unreasonable), the former Chrissy Snow has hugged it out with her long-estranged cast mate Joyce DeWitt (Janet). In the February 2 episode of Suzanne's CafeMom.com digital talk show, "Suzanne Somers Breaking Through," the actresses share an emotional reunion. "It had been 31 years since I'd seen Joyce," Suzanne says. "It was very emotional, teary and a little nervous-making."
Sounding regretful that previous reunion attempts fell through, Suzanne explains, "We almost had a reunion a few years before John [Ritter] died, [but] the business aspect was complicated and it never happened." After John passed, Suzanne says she pitched a reunion idea to the Emmy Awards producers with her, Joyce and a photo of John. "They didn't like my idea and instead had Henry Winkler say a few words about John. Too bad... it would have been a memorable TV moment."
sunshinefizzy 01-31-2012, 01:01 PM ^ Awww, that's a nice picture of them.
Mr. Television 01-31-2012, 03:12 PM Thanks for posting that photo. I've waited 30 years to see that. :)

Wow, the one and only time I ever agree with Suzanne. They should've had the reunion at the Emmy awards! Instead they showed Henry Winkler?? WTF?? He wasn't even on 3's Company!

So true but I would give a shout out to Janet too since she was the other permanent roomate besides John.

What a letdown to have an internet only reunion. Like Wayne and Garth in the garage!
It should've been on TV somewhere!
Austin Tripper 02-02-2012, 04:23 PM Interview sucked! It was overly edited and Suzanne was her typical robotic self! Trying to shoe horn in her " Breaking Through " positive thoughts.
Suzanne is horrible and the only reason she did this was to promote her stupid youtube channel!!
The only moment that was real was the first few minutes but then Suzanne brought her guard back up and went right back to her prepared notes on the table.
Just talk! Forget all the flashy editing... the thing was way overly edited. Just talk, forget the paper and just talk! Be real once in your life.
USATVFAN 02-02-2012, 04:42 PM I really Like it! I thought it was Great. It was a nice interview and fun to finally see them together again! I don't think it was edited at all.
BigManMike 02-02-2012, 05:59 PM I really enjoyed it. It was great to see them together again.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-02-2012, 07:21 PM I loved it. I think even Suzanne carried it well. I don't think she was overly indulgent about herself. Both got their say. It...I thought this was really well done. I am not the biggest Suzanne fan in the world, I think she's super sketchy and I wanted to knock her sideways when she couldn't remember the name of John's sitcom or the freaking Three's Company theme song (while Joyce was right on top of it). But I mean, other than that? I had a smile on my face the entire time. Like, this is a wonderful, wonderful thing you guys. Why bother to be nitpicky?
And for whoever said they thought Joyce would look better...dear sweet Jesus, are you kidding me? The woman is going on 63 years old. She looks effing fantastic. She still has that same sparkle in her eye that I always though made Janet so pretty. And what a sweetheart she is, too. I've never seen someone so gracious for the opportunity they were given on a show, to have such love and respect for the show and it's fans after all these years. For me, she trumps that for anyone that was on the show. Even John. I would go so far as to say she loves it the most, and I have the utmost respect for her for that because so many, such as Suzanne clearly, just look at these things as a job. But I think Joyce is so very much in tune with the joy it gave so many people and I just...wow, I just love that so much about her. Such an amazing human being. (Also can I say that the fact that she calls John "Jonathan" is the most adorable thing. Also, wowskies. I knew these things but, it's fun to see it again).
Anyway, my jaw dropped to hear about John manwhoring it up. I mean...okay. Men. Cool. I just hope he wasn't screwing around on Nancy. I love Nancy. Another great woman. Ugh, Jonathan. Regardless, I wish he was there too. He would've torn **** up. The man couldn't seem to do anything without cracking a joke, so it would've been fun to see that element too. It's not right that he's no longer here. Someone up top really screwed up on that one.
Really, my only complaint is that I wish this were longer. Hopefully someday everyone who's still alive from the show (so, basically Richard and the ladies) can just get together and share memories about times on the set and about John and Don and Audra and Norman.
Also this reunion gets bonus points because fart stories.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to edit a fan reaction video like those Twilight fans do for the movie trailers.

Well said Ashlee. I know I've seemed to be on Suzanne's side alot over the years. I just think the feud got to me too. It's just no fun to constantly hear about all the endless fighting on a show that brought so much joy to so many people. I agree with what you said about Joyce. Of all the cast members, she seems to be the one that understands the best, of what the show meant to all us fans. I would love to see the entire cast together. This is the 35th anniversary of the show. I wish something could be done for that.
Pavan 02-02-2012, 08:20 PM I have met Joyce in person and she is in excellent shape and looks great (and VERY nice!). Great reunion! And I see more positive things to come. Like a TV retrospective. I don't get the complaints by two people here--be happy it happened! This is step one with more to come, I think!

Someone should photoshop a pic of John so it looks like he's standing right next to them!

I liked it for the most part.
I never knew John had sexual encounters with some of the female guest stars! But some of them were SOOOO hot it's not surprising at all!
I wonder how Nancy feels about this??

USATVFAN 02-03-2012, 02:26 AM I have to say that in a way you didn't get the Feeling that these two has been feuding for 30 Years! They did seem to Genially like each other and had lot of respect for each other. They also seem relaxed. I did like the stories they told!

Yeah, it was nice hearing them. Hopefully they do it again every year or 2! After all they are pretty old!
Robert 13 02-03-2012, 12:47 PM This was so great! Very happy to see it happen. I enjoyed this reunion. It was very tastefully done. :)
Skywalker 02-03-2012, 02:49 PM It was great to see Joyce and Suzanne finally reunite. I honestly thought it would never happen. Suzanne seemed sincere which was a bit of a shock because over the past few years, she has usually come off as an airhead whenever someone brought up Three's Company or John and Joyce. And you could tell Joyce was happy to be there. I think they both needed this and wanted this for a long time, but like an episode of Three's Company, there were many misunderstandings, though not comedic, just dramatic. The media made more out of it than anyone, IMO.
I really hope there will be some sort of Three's Company reunion now that it'll be celebrating it's 35th Anniversary soon. Of course it's not a true reunion without John, and the landlords, but the show is still so popular and though I may be in the minority, I'd love to see the rest of the cast get together and reminisce. :)

Yeah, it was interesting the last time Joyce said she saw John was when they stayed in neighboring hotels and then John invited Joyce to 3 parties and a banquet that night!
It's a life we'll never see and we can only dream to go to those kind of parties. But just imagine the kind of food and drink John had there. A lot of it was high fat no doubt. That definitely had a role in his downward health spiral.

That's a really rude and obnoxious statement. He didn't die of a heart attack. It was an aortic dissection and it has nothing to do with what he ate. His father passed away of the same thing. It is genetic. His brother had it too and they caught it in time, so John's passing saved his life!

I think you are right and Agree with you about the Media part. I like the whole post but about the Media: We know the The Media especially Hollywood like a good feud, I think the Media in a way made more out of it then what it was and made it seem worse and then they(Globe, Enquirer, Insider, ET) pitted Joyce and Suzanne against each other more especially in the last in the last 10-15 Years.

I do agree with that. I know they hadn't spoken in 31 years but before John's death, I never gave it much thought. It sure wasn't out there that much.
sunshinefizzy 02-03-2012, 09:41 PM I thought it was fantastic. A proud day for a TC fan!

NONSENSE! Even John's friends and family said he needed to watch his health and that's all I'm saying!
Have fun living in China because in America we have freedom of speech!

On top of that you are completely uneducated about aortic dissection and cardiovascular disease! Amy Yasbeck herself talked about how diet is an important part of your care plan! Ask any cardiologist and they'll tell you the same! Diet is a VERY important factor in ANY type of heart disease!
WebMD recommendations for aortic dissection prevention:
Lifestyle changes, quitting smoking, and a strict dietary regimen, supported by a well-controlled medical therapy,

Watch his health? That's none of your business and the statement you made that he went to parties and ate fatty food is really uncalled for. How do you know? Were you there? You're allowed to have freedom of speech but it's really none of your business on anyone's eating habits and to make it worse assuming what he was eating at some party. Not sure why you're so obsessed about this constantly. This topic is about Joyce and Suzanne reuniting and you want to assume your own thoughts on what he ate at a party that he went to with Joyce? I miss John Ritter every single day, but if was going to happen, it was going to happen.
Go read this about aortic dissection (it's more genetic than anything else, and it's also mentioned on your WebMD article but you failed to quote that): http://johnritterfoundation.org/your-aortic-health/
Janice 02-05-2012, 03:57 PM Poor John didn't stand a chance. His heart condition wasn't caused by overeating. It was caused by a tear in the largest blood vessel in the body. Lucille Ball died of the same condition. Everyone knows that eating properly is good for your health. From what I've read, John worked out just about every day, and Amy was all over his diet. John needed the same surgery that saved his brother's life.
Pavan 02-05-2012, 07:12 PM Exactly Janice. All great points. Yes, he worked out every morning. In fact, he went to the gym the morning the day he passed away, too. There was a finding that John's father passed away of the same thing and not a heart attack (which was the cause they determined back then).

Look I've talked to a cardiologist about this and diet is extremely important for ANY type of cardiovascular disease!
Let's say John survived the surgery you think the doctors would've said "eat whatever you want"?
NO WAY! John would've been on a very restricted diet so Pavan is totally wrong when he says diet has nothing to do with it! The diet of affluence has brought down a lot of people!

NO WAY! John would've been on a very restricted diet so Pavan is totally wrong when he says diet has nothing to do with it! The diet of affluence has brought down a lot of people! A doctor wouldn't say that to anybody for any reason. I'm simply saying that this wasn't a case of John eating like crazy and clogging up his arteries. With John it was genetic. With others, they have bypass operations. John didn't need that. This is a tear in the large artery that branches from the heart.
John didn't have a terrible diet, as you've implied. John worked out, and I remember reading that Amy watched his diet. Like most middle-aged people, his weight went up and down, but he had it under control at the time of his death. He wasn't skinny, but you don't see many thin 55-year olds.

All I'm saying is diet and lifestyle is a very important factor when it comes to ANY form of heart disease and Pavan is completely wrong when he says it means nothing! Over many years diet can affect blood pressure and cholesterol which can impact the aorta which killed John! I agree that genetics played the most important role in John's disease but diet is still extremely important!
I'm sure you've heard Bill Clinton went on a vegan diet and he feel fantastic and lost a lot of weight and all his risk factors went WAY down! Dr. Dean Ornish's diet is the only diet that has shown to reverse heart disease over 80% of the time!
Another doctor, Dr. Esselsyn, has come up with a similar diet at www.heartattackproof.com
Sanjay Gupta had a special on CNN called "The Last Heart Attack" about how it's possible to totally prevent heart disease these days! I know you may be thinking that aortic dissection is different but that IS a form of heart disease!
Ask yourself this question, how many vegans or people who follow a similar diet get aortic dissections? Almost unheard of! I'm not saying John should've been vegan but I am saying there were people who saw him shortly before he died and said he looked swollen and overweight.
I'm saying that many decades of the diet of affluence had an affect on John's weight gain and pressure on his aorta. I agree genetics was the more important factor for aortic dissection but diet still played a huge role over decades!
janet42 02-08-2012, 08:19 PM It was great to see Joyce and Suzanne reunite after 31 years. I loved the interview. :)
Pavan 02-08-2012, 08:20 PM I never said it doesn't mean anything. I said genetics is the reason why John had it. His father, him, and then his brother. Not a coincidence. You had the nerve to question his eating habits, when you have no idea about his lifestyle.
Family Ties Forever! 02-11-2012, 02:54 PM They waited too long. Aside from true fans, who really cares anymore? I don't and I was a huge fan. Just my opinion.
I agree. They waited way too long to reunite. Most people don't care anymore.
Pavan 02-11-2012, 04:07 PM An actual TV reunion is likely this year, with Richard Kline and other cast members, too. More to come (hopefully)!

Very good! Like Suzanne said they should've done the reunion at the awards ceremony instead they had Henry Winkler speak?? WTF?? He wasn't even on TC!

There's more to that than she says. That was over a week after John passed away. Suzanne declined appearing with Joyce at the Emmy's (much like how she declined everything else, like the 8 Simple Rules episode). Suzanne didn't even attend John's funeral or memorial.
Henry Winkler was asked to appear at the Emmy's to introduce because he is one of John's best friends. John was on 8 Simple Rules in 2003, not Three's Company.

I agree. This thread was about Suzanne and Joyce reuniting. It didn't need to be turned into a thread about John's health and death.

With Suzanne declining these invitations this makes me feel even better about the "Three's Company" cast changes. Jenilee and Priscilla were the best things to happen to "Three's Company." IMO, the show was fresh and funny in season six.

No doubt. The best episodes are with Terri and Cindy!
