Madonna has announced her latest album title, and it is -- drumroll -- 'M.D.N.A.', an abbreviated play on her name.
The singer revealed the news in a pre-taped interview on Wednesday's edition of "The Graham Norton Show" on the BBC. Then, she posted an update on her official website.
This will be Madonna's 12th studio album -- and first since she signed a three-album deal with Interscope Records worth $40 million last month.
The record with the title suggesting a dance-heavy vibe is expected in March, although an official release date has yet to be pinned down.

1990 UM fan 01-13-2012, 12:45 AM Hope it'll be good like her previous work. I kind of hope for something like the sound from her other albums like "Ray Of Light" or "True Blue". She's been on the dance train since 1998 and needs to revolve the genres again.

Fresh of her halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVI (which was viewed by a record 114 million people) comes details of the Madonna 2012 World Tour.
The trek will begin May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and will be her most extensive tour ever in terms of number of dates, according to Arthur Fogel, CEO of Live Nation Global Touring, worldwide producers of the tour. The tour will take Madonna to Australia for the first time in 20 years, as well as many markets she has never played before.
This will be Madonna's fifth tour with Fogel and Live Nation, and second under her long-term multi-rights deal with the promoter. Her last tour, 2008-2009's Sticky & Sweet, grossed $408 million according to Billboard Boxscore, the highest ever for a solo artist and third-highest of all time.
Prior to that, Madonna's 2006 Confessions Tour grossed $194 million, according to Boxscore, then the highest ever for a female artist.
The 2012 tour will follow the release of Madonna's new album 'M.D.N.A.', due March 26 on Live Nation Entertainment/Interscope Records, which creates myriad cross-promotional opportunities, according to Fogel.
Having the recording and touring (not to mention merchandising and other rights) under one umbrella "gives you the freedom to line up all the different elements to sell tickets and to sell records," he says. "It's as great a set-up as you could have. If this doesn't work, I'm going into plumbing."
The tour will play 26 European markets, including:
London
Paris
Milan
Berlin...
before hitting North American shores beginning Aug. 28 in Philadelphia.
Twenty-six shows are planned for North America, including:
a Sept. 6 show at New York's Yankee Stadium
an Oct. 10 performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale beginning Feb. 10 in Tel Aviv and the U.K., with North American tickets going on sale beginning Feb. 13.
Tickets for North America are available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.
Madonna will play North America until just before Thanksgiving, then head to Latin America to tour until the holidays, then wrap the tour in Australia in early 2013, Fogel says.
The entire tour will end up with close to 90 shows, which would be the most ever for Madonna; Sticky & Sweet ended up with 85 dates.
In addition to her Super Bowl performance, the last week also saw the release of Madonna's new single, 'Give Me All Your Luvin'.
According to today's announcement, pre-orders for 'M.D.N.A.' have already catapulted the record to No. 1 on iTunes in 51 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Canada, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands.
U.S. residents ordering tickets online to a U.S. performance will receive their choice of a digital or physical copy of Madonna's new album with every ticket purchased.
Citi is the official credit card of U.S. leg of the tour, and Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Feb. 8 through Citi's Private Pass Program.
Lifetime Legacy members of Icon, Madonna's official fan club, will receive first access to tickets and VIP Packages starting today. Registered free Icon members will have the opportunity to purchase an Icon Live Pass, which gives them access to ticket and VIP Package pre-sales.
Fans can sign up for a free Icon membership at Madonna.com today.

bliss 03-17-2012, 10:33 PM I'm loving the preview clips so far from MDNA. I can't wait to buy the new CD in a few weeks. I plan to get the deluxe version.
And it looks like "Girl Gone Wild", "Gang Bang", and "Revolver" might be on the setlist based on the facebook tour rehearsal pics so far.
Jaqui-Michel 03-18-2012, 12:23 PM I'm a Madonna fan but three songs I heard from MDNA are horrible. I've heard Girls Gone Wild, Give Me All Your Luvin and Love Spent and was not impressed. The music sounds like something for Disney radio.

There's a couple of standout tracks on MDNA that definitely won't be heard on Disney radio anytime soon...."I ****ed Up" and "Gang Bang"
phoebe7165 03-25-2012, 01:26 PM I saw her a couple of years ago just to see her, at least once. This is now on my list of my top 5 worst concerts. The show was supposed to start at 7:30. We figured she'd have an opening act that we probably wouldn't be interested in so we got there about 8:45, figuring she'd go on about 9. She didn't go on until 10:10!!! What the hell?? The show was OK, but the whole thing of starting the show so late put me off of ever seeing her again. I'm glad we didn't get there at 7:30, like alot of people did!! Some people even left!! I don't care who you are, you don't do your fans like that. I rather save my money for way better acts who start their shows on time!!!
Steve M. 03-25-2012, 02:14 PM Just let me know when she plays her last . . . concert . . . ever! I hope I live to see that day, I sincerely do!

Please don't alter the expletive on your own, that is what the board filter is for so just type it normally and let it do it's work.

If New York City still had some commercial radio stations with formats that didn't have room for her "music," I would have kept mum about this. Now you won't be able to turn on WPLJ or WHTZ or any other big NYC station without hearing about her tour, and there's no more WRXP any more to listen to without having to boot up your computer.
I have to get satellite radio for my car.

LOL Those are actual titles? Okay sorry I brought Disney :). Will always be a fan but I just think everything after the Ray of Light has been boring.

Some casual/super fans feel that way. Madonna's albums are always somewhat different each time imo.
My current top 5
1. Confessions On A Dancefloor
2. MDNA
3. Ray Of Light
4. Erotica
5. Like A Prayer

I bought my ticket for the MDNA 2012 World Tour. First time seeing her perform. Sorry you had a bad experience but people will still pay big bucks for tickets to see her on tour.
