Apparently, so. Someone on this board listed it as one of the "creepiest/most bizarre" cases thread.

Do a search under "Father Rivera and Father Kerrigan". This is a heavily discussed case in this forum, so you'll also find some good threads here by searching their names.

I believe this case occurred in New Mexico in the 1980's or early 90's, but I'm unsure. This was a really unnerving and frightening case that I haven't seen aired in a while.
